CNN has reached out to Terada for comment on the R-FBI’s role in Russian disinformation efforts, and ties to the state. Storm-1516 and R-FBI network members have spread at least 54 different disinformation narratives online since August 2023, according to Clemson and CNN’s analysis. “Does anyone believe that an American would be the spearhead of what some call the biggest Russian Disinformation operation since the cold war? TelegramAnother prominent figure in propagating Russian disinformation is American Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer who in 2020 accused then-presidential candidate Joe Biden of sexual harassment. The links between Terada’s group and other Russian disinformation efforts are at best opaque, which is likely no accident.

Globally: The International Association for Suicide Prevention and Befrienders Worldwide have contact information for crisis centers around the world. Garcia believes Character.AI is responsible for the death of her 14-year-old son, Sewell Setzer III, who died by suicide in February, according to a lawsuit she filed against the company last week. When Garcia first heard he was interacting with an AI chatbot, she said she thought it was something like a video game. However, within months of starting to use the platform, Setzer became “noticeably withdrawn, spent more and more time alone in his bedroom, and began suffering from low self-esteem. “There were no suicide pop-up boxes that said, ‘If you need help, please call the suicide crisis hotline.’ None of that,” she said.

Flash floods are becoming more common and more intense due to global warming. The impact of flash flooding can be particularly severe because, often, there is very little warning. Why are there more flash floods? The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), a US-based nonprofit, said flash flooding has intensified because of increased rainfall and heat waves. In today’s edition, national political correspondent Steve Kornacki breaks down the key areas where Donald Trump's standing with Puerto Rican voters will be tested. Where Trump’s support among Puerto Rican voters will be put to the testSteve KornackiDonald Trump’s campaign appearance in Allentown, Pa., this evening comes amid questions over whether the fallout from his Madison Square Garden rally will cost him support among Puerto Rican voters. Allentown is a majority-Hispanic city of 125,000, and about one-quarter of its overall population is of Puerto Rican descent — one of the highest concentrations of Puerto Ricans anywhere in the U.S. Pennsylvania’s polls will close at 8 p.m. EST on Election Night, but we may get a big clue about Trump’s Puerto Rican support before that. Majority-Hispanic Osceola County in Florida, just south of Orlando, is a large county (population about 450,000 — and growing) that’s about one-third Puerto Rican.

Much of Trump's closing message is focused on illegal immigration, one of the centerpieces of his campaign. The interview, which was widely hyped by Trump and his supporters, was a snapshot of his, at best, untraditional attempt at a campaign closing message and, at worst, his tendency to step on his own policy pushes. The discipline of the Harris campaign contrasts with that of Trump, whose late-cycle rallies have maintained the sort of rambling, unfocused structure he has long been known for. That dynamic can be seen even in his final speeches as Trump tries to close out his third presidential campaign. “This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” Danielle Alvarez, a senior adviser, said in a statement shortly after the joke was made.

Kamberlyn Bowler, 15, said she ate McDonald's Quarter Pounders in the days before she became ill.At least 75 people have been infected with E. coli in an outbreak that McDonald's has said is likely linked to slivered onions served on Quarter Pounders. Kamberlyn, of Grand Junction, Colorado, is one of dozens of people who say they became sick after having eaten McDonald’s Quarter Pounders. But they both hover around two possibilities, which aren't mutually exclusive:AdvertisementTheory 1: Twitter is showing users what users want to see. And it's entirely plausible that some left-leaning users have left the platform during Musk's ownership, in part because he reinstated accounts from right-leaning users, including Trump himself. At the national level, the middle class is typically defined as households that earn between two-thirds and double the household median income. Based on 2023 figures, that means those with an annual income between $53,740 and $161,220. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the annual rate of inflation was 2.4% in September, as measured by the consumer price index. But that hasn't necessarily led to a dramatic decline in prices; in many categories, consumers have only seen costs rising more slowly. "Financially, things have been a struggle," said Kyle Connolly, a mother of three making a middle-class income in Pensacola, Florida.

For Democrats, President Joe Biden dominated the primaries and faced only token opposition. Vice President Kamala Harris speaks as former President Donald Trump listens during a presidential debate at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia on September 10, 2024. Trump was accused by the Justice Department of election interference after he tried to overturn the 2020 election results. The most populous states are California (54 electoral votes), Texas (40 electoral votes) and Florida (30 electoral votes). The total number of electoral votes, 538, is an even number, which means a tie is conceivable.

And the legal challenges could continue for weeks or months to come. The legal team also relies on a team of advisers, including longtime Biden lawyer Bob Bauer, who advises on litigation strategy and voter protection, and former US Solicitors General Don Verrilli and Seth Waxman. In addition, the Harris legal team is supported by a “field counsel” program that coordinates with local firms in each state that can provide specialized knowledge about election law and procedures in each jurisdiction. Sources close to the Trump legal team say they have not only focused on recruiting legal firepower but on identifying viable legal challenges. “What we have to do is protect every voter and every vote, which is what we’re doing,” said Remus, of the Harris legal team.
