It can be hard to get an advance reservation at Oga's Cantina. Jill RobbinsSince it opened at Disney World's Hollywood Studios in 2019, it's been difficult to snag a dining reservation at Oga's Cantina. All the tricks I usually use, like refreshing the My Disney Experience app at midnight Orlando time, never worked in my favor. After years of trying to get a reservation, I swung by Oga's to get on the walk-up list, fully expecting to be told no. But I was pleasantly surprised to hear the words, "We can seat you right now."

Orlando, Florida CNN —A Florida woman sued Lyft earlier this month, alleging that she was raped by her Lyft driver in 2019 and that the assault resulted in the birth of her third child. Separately, at least a handful of Lyft drivers accused of sexual assault have been convicted in criminal cases. Genetic testing later confirmed with “99.9999999998%” certainty that the Lyft driver is the child’s father, according to the complaint. The Lyft driver rolled down the passenger side window, and Plaintiff confirmed the Lyft driver was there for her,” the complaint states. Lyft’s continuous criminal record monitoring began in April 2019, the month of Means’ alleged rape.

Ron DeSantis was touted as a rising star with a clear path leading to the Republican nomination in 2024 and possibly into the White House itself. DeSantis also championed the policies that Trump voters claimed to want more of, like a hard line on abortion, expanded gun access and removing progressive prosecutors. The thing that DeSantis didn’t have over the billionaire reality TV star-turned-president – Trump’s personality – turned out to be a fatal flaw. Marco Rubio and Rick Scott – were unwilling to lend their support to DeSantis’ flailing campaign, endorsing Trump instead. Or one could look at DeSantis’ charmless offensive and conclude that his presidential ambitions will never be more than that – ambitions.

After living in New York City for 20 years, I moved to Florida, about 15 minutes from Disney World. I was born and raised in New York City, so I knew living in Florida would be very different. It's safe to say I was very startled by this animal I wasn't expecting to see run across the front of the hotel. The nearest grocery store, restaurant, bar, laundromat, nail salon, and hair salon in New York City were conveniently only a one-block walk from my house. That's not a super far distance, but it's so different from what I'm used to.

A Boeing 757 plane operated by Delta Air Lines lost a nose wheel as it prepared to take off from Atlanta’s main airport on Saturday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Delta Air Lines Flight 982 was preparing to take off from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for a trip to Bogotá, Colombia, at about 11:15 a.m. Saturday when a “nose wheel came off and rolled down the hill,” the agency said in a preliminary report. More than 170 passengers who were aboard had to deplane, but no one was hurt, the report said. A Delta spokesman said the passengers were put on a replacement flight. A Boeing spokesman declined to comment and directed questions to Delta.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A proposed high-speed passenger train between Las Vegas and Southern California got another boost on Tuesday with Biden administration approval to issue $2.5 billion in tax-exempt bonds for the $12 billion project. The announcement benefiting the Brightline West project followed a $3 billion U.S. Department of Transportation grant in December and government authorization in 2020 for the company to sell $1 billion in similar bonds. "We appreciate the confidence placed in us by DOT and are ready to get to work,” Brightline founder and Chairman Wes Edens said in a statement. The 218-mile (351-kilometer) Brightline West project aims to whisk passengers at 186 mph (300 kph) or more in electric trains on new tracks along the Interstate 15 corridor — cutting in half a four-hour freeway trip between Las Vegas and suburban San Bernardino County near Los Angeles. No date has been announced for work to start, but officials have said it might be operational by the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.
