CNN —India’s T20 World Cup-winning cricket team will finally be able to fly home Tuesday after being stuck in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl, a powerful storm churning through the Caribbean. CNN has reached out to India’s Board of Control for Cricket for comment. The hurricane made landfall on Grenada’s Carriacou Island in the Caribbean Sea on Monday morning, causing extreme damage and one confirmed death. Kyiv, Ukraine CNN —World Athletics President Sebastian Coe said he invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Olympics as his personal guest during a surprise visit to Kyiv on Friday. But he’s at odds with the IOC when it comes to their stance on Russian athletes. Following Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine – supported by Belarus – in February 2022, World Athletics is the only Olympic sports federation to have banned all Russian and Belarussian athletes from elite competition. In the meeting with the Ukrainian president, World Athletics committed to keep providing financial support for the country’s athletes. Coe also stopped by the Ukrainian Athletics Championships in Lviv, the event that determined which athletes will compete in the Olympics.

CNN —Hunter Biden has sued Fox News and its parent corporation, accusing the right-wing network of smearing him and unlawfully publishing his explicit images without his consent in a 2022 miniseries about his legal troubles. The miniseries, “The Trial of Hunter Biden,” was a six-part offering on the Fox Nation digital streaming network, and was also promoted on Fox News, the cable TV channel. It featured a dramatized “mock trial” about Hunter Biden’s overseas financial dealings that led in part to his federal tax indictment and that also fueled House Republicans’ struggling impeachment inquiry into his father. Fox News took down the miniseries in late April, one day after Hunter Biden threatened to file a lawsuit. “The program was removed within days of the letter, in an abundance of caution, but Hunter Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of multiple investigations and is now a convicted felon.
