Apple and Alphabet pulled back to the support levels we highlighted and have since rallied strongly. As we can see, $400 served as a key support level three times early this year (the second black horizontal line). Here, we are again applying the polarity principle and using prior resistance as the new support level. We see that $166 has proven a key support level (the top black horizontal line) ever since that post-earnings breakout. Nvidia Potential entry points: $120, $110, and $100 Just below Tuesday's close, around $120, that's a battleground level (the top black horizontal line).

Apple 's commitment to privacy could soon pay off by giving it a leg up over its competitors, according to Rosenblatt. That's because Apple, unlike AI predecessors, has put privacy front and center as part of its AI marketing push and architecture," Crockett wrote. "Apple laid out what it called a Private Cloud Compute architecture that keeps personal information on personal devices, and does not allow non-permissioned release of that information to anyone else, including Apple and third party LLMs," he added. An additional advantage for Apple comes from its AI approach, which allows the firm some immunity from cost pressures at hyperscalers. Against this backdrop, Crockett sees the scales "tipping the AI risk/reward in favor of Apple."

Here's an update on the chart in a breakout shoemaker that is giving Nike a run for its money. In May, I wrote about On Holding AG (ONON) ahead of its earnings with a buy recommendation. You'll notice that the stock popped on the week of May 14th following the earnings report above the 2023 highs of $36.90. Looking at the valuation, NKE is trading about 26 times 2024 expected earnings and 25 times 2025 expected earnings. DECK is ranging from 10% to 20% revenue growth from the same period last year and ONON is running from 20% to 33% revenue growth.

Nvidia (NVDA) is finally showing signs of profit-taking, suggesting that the entire technology sector might be ready for a breather. This could present many bearish trading setups in various stocks because of the influence Nvidia has had leading the AI bubble. For now, let's focus on making a bearish trade in the Invesco QQQ Trust , an ETF that tracks the Nasdaq 100 index. The Trade The trade structure I have chosen here is called a Bear Call Spread also known as a Call Credit Spread. As long as QQQ stays below $483 in the next 17 days, this trade will return a 38% ROI on the money risked.

Credo Technology has emerged to take the crown as TD Cowen's top small- and mid-cap stock pick after a red-hot start to the year. Analyst Matthew Ramsay also upped his price target for the stock to $35 from $24, implying that Credo shares could rally 28% from Monday's close. Specifically, he thinks that Credo's revenue could inflect in the second half of its fiscal year as a number of its programs begin to ramp, including some GenAI buildouts. Credo's key program ramps within its active electrical cables at Microsoft and Amazon should also play a role in pushing the company's fundamentals higher. "Overall, we see the diversification of the company's revenue base as a key de-risking of the model and should benefit the durability of revenues going forward," Ramsey said.

Nvidia 's furious rally is breaking new ground in stock chart analysis that even the dot-com bubble couldn't pull off, according to BTIG. "NVDA recently traded ~100% above its 200 DMA. In other words, NVDA is in a league of its own," the note said. To make another parallel to the dot-com bubble, Cisco also briefly passed Microsoft in market cap in March of 2000, according to Krinsky. Shares of Nvidia are now up more than 150% year to date, and its market cap is still over $3 trillion despite a Friday slump.

"Five, 10 years from now, it's going to be table stakes to know Python, to know a lot of these AI tools that are being generated today. And that's exactly what the 6-month program, called Bridger, strives to do. It gives sell-side analysts from research firms, investment banks, and consultancies the chance to build up their technical chops. The program also creates a pipeline of analysts at a time when investing talent among hedge funds is competitive and expensive. While learning to code was always part of the curriculum, this year it added AI skills to the program.

Nvidia just formed a bearish technical pattern that is signaling a reversal ahead. The red-hot chipmaker dropped 3.5% on Thursday after temporarily unseating Microsoft as the most valuable public company in the U.S. Thursday's decline marked a "bearish engulfing" pattern that often signals that the prior upward momentum is waning. Others believe the Nvidia bearish engulfing pattern, while ominous, isn't significant enough yet. The confirmation of a bearish engulfing pattern sometimes depends on the size of the candles. "The reversal of the shares was 11 cents away from clearly registering a bearish engulfing pattern.

Some concerning candle patterns for leading technology names have caused me to focus on potential downside targets for the S & P 500 . To be clear, this is a short-term pattern, and is really just intended to inform our thinking for the next couple trading sessions. The most important level to watch is S & P 5,200, which would represent about a 5% pullback from the recent market peak. A move below S & P 5200 would cause me to revisit long positions and start to raise cash due to an elevated risk of a correction. If and when the S & P pushes below 4950, I would be positioned way more defensively, waiting for some signs of accumulation to emerge.

The big storyEmerging markets have been on tenterhooks for the better part of this year as the Federal Reserve has been dangling the prospect of an interest rate cut. Historically, as U.S. interest rates fall, the allure of the mighty dollar fades to the benefit of other currencies. Indeed, unlike most developed economies, India's interest rate regime in 2024 isn't any different from that of 2018. There lies the disconnect between the economy, the stock market, and a single stock.
