The Broadway actor died following an undisclosed illness early Wednesday morning, according to a Facebook post by his sister, Roxy Hall. Clifton Oliver performs as Simba in the "Lion King" in Los Angeles on September 28, 2000. In 2010, he moved to New York to pursue a career on Broadway, where he notably starred as Simba in “The Lion King,” the highest-grossing Broadway show of all time, according to Playbill. U.S. actor Kevin Spacey was found not guilty on Wednesday by a jury at a London court of committing historical sex offences against four men. The 64-year-old Oscar-winner was acquitted of nine charges, including sexual assault, causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, and causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity. Spacey began to cry in the dock when the not guilty verdicts were returned by the jury. During the four-week trial at Southwark Crown Court, jurors were told by prosecutors that the actor had aggressively groped three of the men in incidents between 2004 and 2013 in Britain, when he was working at London's Old Vic theatre. The fourth said Spacey performed oral sex on him while he was passed out in the Hollywood star's London apartment.

BEIJING, July 26 (Reuters) - The artistic director of Moscow's state-owned Bolshoi Ballet has vowed that his company will eventually perform in the West again, having been subject to a cultural boycott since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The storied ballet company performed at Beijing's National Centre for the Performing Arts on Tuesday in its first international tour since the pandemic. Speaking in Beijing on the eve of the performance, artistic director Makhar Vaziev insisted the troupe was "not suffering" from being unable to perform in the West. Cancellations in other Western cities soon followed, and creative collaboration with Western venues and choreographers evaporated. Several Russian and foreign leading dancers also quit the company in opposition to the Ukraine war, including former principal ballerina Olga Smirnova.

More than 10 million tickets have been purchased through the app, called Pay It Forward. During the movie’s July 4 opening, “Sound of Freedom” scored $11.5 million from direct box office sales and $2.6 million, or over 20%, from Pay It Forward ticket sales. A spokesperson for Angel Studios told CNN that these posts could be tied to group ticket sales. For individual tickets, Angel Studios’ system creates a code that allows another person to redeem a free ticket directly from theaters. Angel Studios does not release what percentage of ticket sales come from customers buying other people tickets.
