(AP) — Chiefs coach Andy Reid is giving the rest of his staff about a week off after their Super Bowl victory parade through downtown Kansas City on Wednesday, then he expects everyone to be back in the building to begin working on next season. These are a crucial couple of months for Kansas City if it wants to become the first team to win three straight Super Bowl titles. “The coaches will take a little bit of time,” Reid said, “but then we've got the combine coming up. We're in the swing of things after that, once you get to the combine.”Yet before the combine, free agency or the draft comes the parade, one last celebration of another championship season. Super Bowl LVIII was the most-watched television show in history, as an estimated 123.4 million people watched the Kansas City Chiefs rally in overtime to defeat the San Francisco 49ers. CBS Sports said that figure included viewers across all platforms and was up 7% from last year's 115.1 million average viewers, which was also the previous record. WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal accident investigators are pushing to retrofit current aircraft with better cockpit voice recorders, citing the loss of evidence during last month's blowout of a door panel on a jetliner flying over Oregon. The National Transportation Safety Board said Tuesday that the Federal Aviation Administration should require many current planes to have recorders that can capture 25 hours of audio, up from the current standard of two hours. The FAA announced late last year a proposal to require the 25-hour standard but only on new planes. The FAA received about 115 comments about its proposal during a comment period that ended Feb. 2. OpenAI Gives ChatGPT a Better ‘Memory’

OpenAI is giving ChatGPT a better memory. The San Francisco artificial intelligence start-up said on Tuesday that it was releasing a new version of its chatbot that would remember what users said so it could use that information in future chats. If a user mentions a daughter, Lina, who is about to turn 5, likes the color pink and enjoys jellyfish, for example, ChatGPT can store this information and retrieve it as needed. Now, ChatGPT can draw on a much wider and more detailed array of information. “We think that the most useful assistants are those that evolve with you — and keep up with you,” said Joanne Jang, an OpenAI product lead who helps oversee its memory project.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Kyle Shanahan has heard the criticism that, for all his great accomplishments as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, he is unable to win the big game. “I hope that I can be a part of a team that wins the game at the end of the year. But to say the Niners can’t win a big game would be an extremely inaccurate statement.”They have just been unable to win the ultimate prize despite coming so close in recent years. San Francisco blew a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter to the Chiefs to lose the Super Bowl following the 2019 season. Shanahan said he will go over almost every decision he made in the game, knowing one play could have been the difference.

Those gains came even as Federal Reserve officials attempted to reduce investors’ lofty expectations for a plethora of interest rate cuts this year. It is now signaling that interest rates could come this year but not until spring or summer. That means they think the Fed is keeping interest rates too high and could potentially slow down economic growth too much and risk a recession. That makes the NFL and the Super Bowl all the more valuable to advertisers trying to reach a mass market. Even though I planned to get my own place at some point, I ended up living at home for 12 years. When I moved out this past December, I had $400,000 saved and invested from both my 9-to-5 income and earnings as an entrepreneur. In my early 20s, my meals were split 50/50 between my parent's cooking and the Google cafeterias. So in 2017, I left Google and the 9-to-5 grind, to focus on what I was really passionate about. CNN —Super Bowl LVIII was the most-watched television broadcast in a generation. Sunday’s overtime thriller, which featured the Kansas City Chiefs facing off against the San Francisco 49ers, averaged 123.4 million viewers, CBS said Monday, breaking Super Bowl viewership records. The audience for Super Bowl LVIII was so large that it approached the all-time most watched television broadcast set in 1969, when an estimated 125 to 150 million viewers watched the Apollo 11 moon landing. The Super Bowl was no different. That makes the NFL and the Super Bowl all the more valuable to advertisers trying to reach a mass market.
