Experts are zeroing in on a theory around a plane crash that Russia says killed Yevgeny Prigozhin. According to CNN, fragments of Prigozhin's plane were scattered throughout a 4-mile radius. Analyzing the wreckage"It is very difficult to understand what happened without a proper investigation," Daniel Kwasi Adjekum, an aviation expert at the University of North Dakota, told CNN. So far, flight data from Flightradar24 also paints a patchy picture, showing Prigozhin's plane steeply dropping 8,000 feet in the last 30 seconds of the flight. Russian authorities said Prigozhin was listed as a passenger on a private jet that crashed on Wednesday evening, killing all those onboard. Russia's TASS news agency said the plane was a Brazilian Embraer jet. Embraer (EMBR3.SA) on Wednesday said it was aware of a Legacy 600 plane crash in Russia, but that did not have further information about the case. Flightradar24 online tracker showed that the Embraer Legacy 600 (plane number RA-02795) said to be carrying Prigozhin had dropped off the radar at 6:11 p.m. local time (1511 GMT). The Legacy 600 entered service in 2002, according to International Aviation HQ, with almost 300 produced until production ceased in 2020.

For nine weeks in 1974, off the shore of Martha’s Vineyard, the shooting of “Jaws” was repeatedly delayed by the whims of its temperamental stars. After seeing “The Shark Is Broken,” a play about that disastrous shoot, you may wonder the opposite: whether it might not have been better to cast the movie with mechanical humans. An explosion erupted at a warehouse near the Russian capital of Moscow on Wednesday. The blast at the Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant left dozens of people injured, reports said. The governor of the Moscow region said the warehouse was being used to store fireworks. Dramatic videos that circulated on social media captured the moments immediately after the blast at the Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant in Sergiev Posad and showed a massive mushroom cloud looming over the area. According to The Moscow Times, the factory has produced things like night-vision devices and binoculars for the Russian security forces.
