Kozo's safety tips for handling fireworks on the Fourth of July include keeping a water source handy. Here's what he told Insider:Know and obey the lawBefore you load up on fireworks, Kozo strongly recommends researching the laws pertaining to them for your specific area as they differ from state to state. In addition to injuries, fireworks also cause approximately 19,500 fires in the US annually — 28% of which are reported on Independence Day alone, according to the National Fire Protection Association. "Sparklers, which we often deem harmless and hand over to little kids to hold and wave, burn somewhere between 1200 degrees and 1800 degrees. Kozo added that 21% of reported fireworks-related injuries are caused by sparklers, and instead recommends giving children glow sticks as a safe and fun substitute.

Stephanie Kwolek — KevlarKwolek only intended to work for DuPont temporarily, to save up to study medicine. YouTube / WeBoMediaLLCIn the 1960s, chemical company DuPont was trying to find a lighter alternative to steel to reinforce car tires. Kwolek began working with a team at DuPont, experimenting on groups of long-chain molecules with a rigid rod-like structure, known as aromatic polyimides. The DuPont Kevlar Survivors Club, founded in 1987 by police officers who owe their lives to bullet-proof vests is a testament to Kwolek's work but Kevlar has also saved the lives of many soldiers and motorcyclists. After she retired, Kwolek continued to work at her home lab.

"The primary reason I wanted to buy a condo is because rent fluctuates," he tells CNBC Make It. CNBC Make ItSo in 2017, Dishongh purchased his first home, a 600-square-foot one-bedroom condo in Austin, Texas. 'Whenever I feel like it, I can just hop back there and have a mini adventure'Originally, Dishongh wanted to live in a van full-time, travel the U.S. and work remotely. He realized that it made more financial sense for him to take on a fixed mortgage payment, rather than watch his rent continue to rise. The low down payment allowed him to funnel more money into renovating his new place from top to bottom.
Taste that rich filling for evidence of the Arab influence that infuses Sicilian cuisine: The candied citrus that often flavors the creamy interior remains beloved throughout the Middle East. CNN —“This fire has burned 4,000 years and never stopped,” says Aliyeva Rahila. This is Yanar Dag – meaning “burning mountainside” – on Azerbaijan’s Absheron Peninsula, where Rahila works as a tour guide. Yanar Dag is one of the few remaining examples, and perhaps the most impressive. Today, most visitors who arrive at the no-frills Yanar Dag visitors’ center come for the spectacle rather than religious fulfillment. Air Force flights from as far away as Germany were dropping American military and humanitarian food packets in an effort to win hearts and minds. This was taken aboard the ferry connecting the east and west sides of the American military base. Even as the American war in Afghanistan ends in both ignominy and relief, the conflicts there and in dozens of other places continue.
