And Democratic-aligned donors from all those worlds are eager to help Harris get there. That figure marks the year of the sorority’s founding at Harris’ alma mater, Howard University. More than 1.1 million donors have contributed – with 62% of them first-time givers this cycle, Harris’ campaign said. He said he held his first fundraiser for Harris at his Boston-area home during her successful 2016 Senate campaign. But for all the early enthusiasm, the groups supporting Harris say big challenges remain – both in sustaining her campaign’s early financial momentum and in helping blunt looming attacks on her race and gender.

Altogether, 6.8 million people are out of a job, which means millions are currently looking for their next role. If you're job searching yourself, remember that sending out resumes is only part of the equation. Networking is "one of the most pivotal things you can do," says Jasmine Escalera, career expert at My Perfect Resume. That's because asking people in the field questions one-on-one "helps you understand, what are industry trends that I should be focused on?" It helps you understand, "how do I best market myself to be the individual who can do this job?"

The investment chief and the chief market strategist signaled in April that US equities had an attractive risk-reward setup after a 5.5% selloff. "All those factors combined suggest maybe a choppier market, even though we still think the long-term bull market is intact," Lerner said. "In the fall, I think investors will eventually come back to tech because I still think that's the main secular theme of this bull market," Lerner said. Boeing 737 MAX aircraft are assembled at the company’s plant in Renton, Washington, U.S. June 25, 2024. Boeing said on Tuesday it has resumed deliveries of its best-selling 737 Max airplane to China after a lengthy delay stemming from regulatory issues. Reuters had reported in June that 737 Max deliveries were set to resume as early as July. China suspended most orders and deliveries of Boeing planes in 2019 after the 737 Max was grounded worldwide. In a year-end 2023 filing, Boeing said it had about 140 737 Max 8 aircraft in inventory, including 85 aircraft for customers in China.

Anadolu | Anadolu | Getty ImagesThe "Trump trade" could unwind after President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential election, throwing his weight behind Vice President Kamala Harris. The Trump trade refers to plays on stocks that are expected to benefit if the former president returns to the White House. CNBC previously reported that Wall Street sees a Trump win as good for stocks as the Republican candidate has called for lower taxes and deregulation. The strategist predicted the U.S. dollar would soften as some of the "Trump trade" unwinds, adding that he believes the prospect of a Democratic victory has marginally increased. Roche said, however, that a Harris nomination increases the chance of a Trump win, but lowers the odds of the Republicans winning both houses of Congress.

But as detailed ceasefire negotiations aimed at turning a framework agreement into a final deal stretch into their third week, Netanyahu’s visit will still be critical to the prospects of a ceasefire in Gaza. Senior US officials say a deal is within reach, but the prospects of a deal may hinge on the answer to one key question: Does Netanyahu actually want a deal? And the right-wing coalition partners keeping him in power have threatened to bolt if Netanyahu cuts a deal that ends the war. And publicly, his rhetoric has undermined confidence in Israel’s commitment to reaching a deal that could end the war. And Netanyahu’s allies insist he is earnest in his desire to strike a hostage release deal – just the right deal, one that could allow Israel to resume fighting in Gaza.
