Chipotle stock fell as much as 10% in premarket trading Tuesday as the company announced CEO Brian Niccol would be leaving his role on Aug. 31 to become CEO of Starbucks . Niccol began as Chipotle CEO in March 2018. Chipotle stock has risen more than 700% since since he took over. Niccol helped lead Chipotle through a foodborne illness scandal and oversaw the chain of restaurants during the pandemic. Before taking over at Chipotle, Niccol was the CEO at Yum Brands' Taco Bell.

The embattled aircraft maker reported it took in gross orders for 72 new planes in July, compared to the 59 reported by Airbus. And many were tied to the Farnborough Air Show in July, which is the site of many commercial jet sales. The July orders brought full-year gross orders to only 228 commercial jets. Subtracting canceled orders, Boeing had only 186 net orders in the first seven months of the year. Airbus has delivered 400 jets through the first seven months of this year.

Stocks are up since last week's sell-off but there's still reason to be cautious, Stifel's Barry Bannister said. He reiterated his expectation for a 10% market correction to push the S&P 500 to 5,000 by October. If the economy keeps slowing and eventually enters a recession, a bear market is imminent as inflation remains sticky, Stifel's chief strategist Barry Bannister said in a Tuesday interview on CNBC. While the Federal Reserve targets a PCE of 2.8%, Bannister expects the central bank to target closer to 3% by the fourth quarter due to persistent housing inflation. Weak GDP, consumption, fixed asset investment and net export data expected in the second half of the year also don't bode well for the economy, Bannister added.

Florida had the biggest net gain of high-earning households, according to a recent SmartAsset study . Using $200,000 of adjusted gross income as a threshold, the study examined the number of high-income households moving into and out of each state to determine the net inflow. More high-income households have left California and New York than moved in, but some states saw the opposite. "I would say that's a little unique, that these smaller-population states are really pulling their weight in attracting or pulling above their weight in attracting high-earning households," DeJohn says. Deere (DE) , headquartered in Moline, Illinois, manufactures agricultural machinery, heavy equipment, forestry machinery, diesel engines, and related components. One of the oldest companies in the United States, Deere traces its history back to John Deere's "self-scouring plow" in 1837. However, even assuming 50 bushels per acre and a $5/bushel average price increase, the revenue per acre would have risen by ~$250/acre. However, while Deere & Company stock has underperformed the S & P this year, its enterprise value is nearly $100 Billion, almost double the company's valuation in January 2020, just before the pandemic. Unsurprisingly, DE options are pricing in a larger-than-average 6% move when the company reports earnings on Thursday.
