So thought we'd look at what the Santa Claus rally phenomenon is all about and which Club stocks have had the best and worth December track records in recent years. It's a seven-day stretch over which the S & P 500 has historically tended to climb. The entire month of December has actually proven to be a historically strong period for the stock market. Investors would surely welcome a strong December after a terrible 11 months for the stock market. The S & P 500 tanked more than 9% that December, which at the time was its worth monthly performance in nearly a decade.

We are talking about stocks that offer defensive growth and do even better if the economy slows down. (DHR) Even Linde (LIN) has some defensive growth attributes, but the stock just had a huge move and we are looking for a little more of a pullback. Our preference is still with stocks that offer defensive growth. We understand buying defensive growth today means you aren't catching the bottom, but bottom fishing is often called an expensive hobby for a reason. It's hard to make money in cannabis, so the world's largest cannabis companies are pivoting. The Canadian cannabis company Tilray in early November acquired Montauk Brewing Company, a New York craft-beer brewer. In a November 11 note, analysts at the investment bank Jefferies called Canopy's core Canadian cannabis business "a sideshow." Tilray's cannabis business slumps, while beer boomsLike Canopy, Tilray's core cannabis business is also declining while its beverage unit and other businesses are growing. Beyond cutting costs, it was, therefore, only a matter of time before the world's largest cannabis companies, with investors and shareholders breathing down their necks, looked elsewhere to boost their margins.
First, let's look at three tough lessons we learned and how we managed through the turmoil. Second, we'll discuss three investments that were right for this market and challenged macroeconomic backdrop. If inflation doesn't cool enough, the Fed will likely remain hawkish, and if Bullard is right rates could end up much higher. We think the stock has been hurt by a recent update to the company's reserve quantity. I see Club holding Estee Lauder (EL) as a buy on China starting to ease pandemic restrictions. Club holding Nvidia (NVDA) reports its quarter next week, and there seems to be a conclusion to the glut in semiconductors. JPMorgan double downgraded Intel (INTC) to underweight from overweight (sell from buy) and cuts its price target in half to $32 per share. Citi cuts price target on Palantir (PLTR) to $5 per share from $6 on slowing growth. Mizuho cuts price target on Kimco Realty (KIM) to $22 per share from $25.
Cisco Systems (CSCO): It reports next week and we think it should deliver a decent quarter as it converts its backlog into revenue. Constellation's shareholders on Wednesday approved the termination of the Corona beermaker's Class B shares, which follows the board of directors sign off on the proposal back in June . The stock reclassification removes an overhang on the Class A stock, which could help boost Constellation's valuation in the long term. The news Roughly 75% of Constellation's Class A shareholders agreed to scrap the company's super-voting Class B shares, which were owned by members of the founding Sands family. The end of Constellation's Class B shares is not the only corporate governance improvement the company has made in recent weeks. Now that Constellation's dual-class share structure is going by the wayside our investment case has only been sweetened .

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Tuesday offered investors a list of stocks that he thinks will weather the market turbulence ahead. Leaders like health care, leaders like the oils, leaders like the financials that lay off people as a matter of course. He also echoed his sentiment that tech stocks are no longer market leaders and should be avoided. It's another consequence of the quasi-legality of the cannabis industry in the US. The Canadian cannabis giant Canopy Growth has long searched for a way to give its stock a much-needed boost. "We continue to have open conversations with the exchanges," Klein said. He added that Canopy's deal could provide a model for other Canadian cannabis companies that want to do business in the US. Jefferies said Nasdaq's objection to Canopy's plan was a key risk and that the rest of the cannabis industry should pay close attention.

Canadian cannabis company Canopy Growth said Tuesday it's consolidating its U.S. assets into a new holding company to speed up its entry into the U.S. market. The company said the creation of Canopy USA will help it reduce costs and tap into the U.S. market, which is projected to be more than $50 billion by 2026. Spirits giant Constellation Brands , which acquired a stake in Canopy Growth in 2017 for $190 million, said it will convert its existing common shares in Canopy into new exchangeable shares, which it said will protect shareholder value while retaining its interest in Canopy through non-voting and non-participating shares. Constellation said in a statement that the transition is aligned with its decision to focus on its core beer, wine and spirits businesses. "We believe that the conversion of our ownership interest will maintain Constellation's ability to realize the potential upside of our investment in Canopy," said Constellation's CEO and President Bill Newlands.
