CNBC's Jim Cramer on Tuesday told investors there's a buying opportunity in online sports betting company DraftKings as it experiences a pullback during NFL playoff season. "Now that DraftKings has pulled back a bit from its highs over the past month-and-a-half, and after we saw the incredible public interest in the first weekend of the NFL playoffs, I'm feeling like you're getting a great buying opportunity in this stock," Cramer said. Cramer explained his bull thesis for DraftKings, starting by saying the company has the most market share in the sector. Cramer noted that DraftKings has been growing despite not being able to do business in California and Texas where sports betting is illegal. This stock also tends to do well during the NFL post-season, Cramer said.

The study assumes that retirees will receive annual Social Security payments of $21,566.76, the U.S. average based on the most recent information provided by the Social Security Administration. For a 25-year retirement, you'd need just over $2 million in Hawaii — the most of all states by far. That's followed by Massachusetts, California and New York, along with 12 other states where you'd need at least $1 million saved up to retire. Noah, a 19-year-old who goes to college in Illinois, uses sports betting to keep up with his friends from high school. The expansion of legal sports betting in the US has fueled a widespread culture of gambling on college campuses, as savvy students find betting alternatives and workarounds for age limits and state restrictions. Many sports-loving college students like Marcus and Noah casually use fantasy gaming, sweepstakes, and betting to make and maintain friendships. BI spoke with seven college students and three researchers to learn more about what sports betting looks like on campuses. Alaska and United Airlines said late Saturday that they were grounding their entire fleets of Boeing 737 Max 9s. "Safety will continue to drive our decision-making as we assist the NTSB's investigation into Alaska Airlines Flight 1282," FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker said in a statement. The FAA has heavily scrutinized the Boeing 737 Max since two fatal crashes grounded the jetliner worldwide almost five years ago. The section of the fuselage missing appeared to correspond to an exit not used by Alaska Airlines, or other carriers that don't have high-density seating configurations, and was plugged. Before the FAA issued its directive, Alaska Airlines earlier said it would ground its fleet of Boeing 737 Max 9 planes.

Barbara Furlow-Smiles attends the 2020 Sisters' Awards at Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles on March 8, 2020. A former global diversity strategist at Facebook pled guilty to wire fraud after stealing more than $4 million from the social media giant "to fund a lavish lifestyle" in California and Georgia, federal prosecutors said. In some instances, Furlow-Smiles had Facebook pay people who did not give her kickbacks, in one case directing $10,000 to an artist for specialty portraits, and more than $18,000 to a preschool for tuition, prosecutors said. As part of the scheme, Furlow-Smiles linked PayPal, Venmo and Cash App accounts to her Facebook credit cards and used those accounts to pay friends, relatives and other associates for goods and services purportedly provided to Facebook. Furlow-Smiles, who was not Facebook's top DEI executive, pled guilty in Atlanta federal court on Monday.

Who Qualified for the Fourth GOP Debate?

Republican candidates are gearing up for the fourth GOP presidential debate, with a shrinking field as the first nominating contest approaches. After raucous debates in Wisconsin, California and Florida, the candidates are set to return to the debate stage for a two-hour event at 8 p.m. To qualify for the fourth debate, a candidate must reach at least 6% support in two national polls or 6% in one national poll and one poll from an early state poll in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada or South Carolina, according to rules set by the Republican National Committee. In addition to the polling and fundraising requirements, the candidates must also have taken a loyalty pledge in order to participate in the debate, which all candidates who appeared in the earlier debates completed. With that pledge, which has been somewhat controversial among the candidates, GOP presidential hopefuls must sign a statement that they will support the eventual Republican nominee.

Earthquakes vs. aftershocksThe modern seismic activity the researchers studied is likely a mixture of aftershocks from the big quakes from the 1800s and background seismicity, Chen said. “Are small earthquakes in the New Madrid seismic zone aftershocks of 1811-1812 or not?” Hough said in an email. “The new study considers the question from a different angle, considering how tightly clustered earthquakes are, and concluding that some of the events are ongoing aftershocks,” Hough said. Aftershocks might still be continuing, but once the normal seismic rate for the area returns, she said, you can no longer identify them as aftershocks. “For this reason, we seismologists sometimes disagree about which earthquakes are foreshocks or aftershocks,” Ebel said, “and I think those disagreements are inherently unresolvable.”

WASHINGTON, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Henry Kissinger, the most powerful U.S. diplomat of the Cold War era, who helped Washington open up to China, forge arms control deals with the Soviet Union and end the Vietnam War, but who was reviled by critics over human rights, has died aged 100. While many hailed Kissinger for his brilliance and statesmanship, others branded him a war criminal for his support for anti-communist dictatorships, especially in Latin America. Kissinger won the 1973 Nobel Peace Prize for ending U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War, but it was one of the most controversial ever. When Nixon's pledge to end the Vietnam War helped him win the 1968 presidential election, he brought in Kissinger as national security adviser. And in the India-Pakistan War of 1971, Nixon and Kissinger drew heavy criticism for tilting toward Pakistan.
