The Ocean Explorer ran aground on Monday in Alpefjord in a national park some 1,400 km (870 miles) northeast of Greenland's capital Nuuk, the JAC said in a statement. "A cruise ship in trouble in the national park is obviously a worry. A spokesperson for Australian cruise operator Aurora Expeditions said in an emailed statement everyone on board was safe and well. (Reuters) - Hurricane Lee, a Category 2 storm, was "rapidly strengthening" as it churned through the Caribbean on Thursday, the U.S.-based National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported. In Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has pre-deployed assets and is coordinating with local officials ahead of the storm, the Biden administration said. However, the hurricane is likely to miss Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands as it moves northwest, the NHC's estimated storm path showed. "The potential for tropical storm conditions to occur in the islands is decreasing, but residents there should continue to monitor updates on Lee," the NHC said. Lee is expected to remain powerful through the next several days, the NHC added.

Students have also taken a liking for GenAI, which can generate anything from essays to mathematical calculations with just a few line of prompts. Among a series of guidelines in a 64-page report, UNESCO stressed on the need for government-sanctioned AI curricula for school education, in technical and vocational education and training. While China has formulated rules on GenAI, the European Union's AI Act is likely to be approved later this year. The Paris-based agency also sought to protect the rights of teachers and researchers and the value of their practices when using GenAI.
