Growth stocks have been rallying for most of this year, though they've been volatile recently. Investors rotated out of mega-cap tech stocks for smaller names last week, as expectations of rate cuts in September grow. But overall, growth stocks have still gained this year, with the large-cap Vanguard Russell 1000 Growth ETF still up nearly 20% this year. What are some of such stocks that are still attractively valued that investors can buy and hold for the next 10 years? CNBC Pro asked fund managers and other investors who focus on growth stocks for some ideas.

The so-called "Magnificent Seven" were among the hottest stocks last year, but one wealth manager says they are "wildly overvalued" and has his sights elsewhere. The Magnificent Seven comprises Alphabet , Amazon , Apple , Meta Platforms , Microsoft , Nvidia and Tesla , which continue to be in the spotlight thanks to the buzz around artificial intelligence. Other global stocks Global stocks Dennison is betting on include Fresenius Medical Care , a German health-care company, and Kazatomprom, a Kazakhstan-headquartered producer of uranium. "It is a top position in many pension portfolios and has become a value stock because of the strong Swiss Franc," he said. Value stocks are often cheaper than so-called growth stocks and typically trade at a lower price than what the company's performance indicates.

CNN —Ohio Sen. JD Vance, the Republican vice presidential nominee, repeatedly indicated in 2016 that he believed Donald Trump had committed sexual assault, even suggesting in one TV segment that in a “he said, she said” situation Trump was less credible than one of his accusers. And at the end of the day, do you believe Donald Trump, who always tells the truth? Vance then suggested that the lawsuit, and the people funding it, was not about justice but about politics. Mega-cap tech stocks have a lot to prove with upcoming second-quarter earnings results. The long-term outperformance of mega-cap tech relative to small-cap stocks is being tested by slowing revenue growth. AdvertisementThe mega-cap tech rally hit a wall in recent weeks as investors turned their attention to small-cap stocks in a historic way. That's in stark contrast to the dominance of mega-cap tech stocks relative to small-cap stocks over the past one-, three-, five-, and ten-years. Ms. Harris seems almost certain to become the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee after President Biden’s decision not to seek re-election. He defeated Mrs. Clinton in 2016 in spite of her winning the popular vote by a wide margin. Ms. Harris has neither the political legacy nor the baggage of Mrs. Clinton. A 'Trump trade' hedge using options
  + stars: | 2024-07-22 | by ( Michael Khouw | ) www.cnbc.com   time to read: +3 min
The reason this matters to investors is the so-called Trump trade. The stock market did very well following former President Donald Trump's victory over Hillary Clinton in November 2016, but smaller businesses, in particular, were beneficiaries. When we listen to some of the policy ideas that Trump has discussed, such as measures intended to protect smaller U.S.-based businesses, companies in the small-cap Russell 2000 index stand to benefit. Since the June 27 debate, the Russell 2000 has outperformed the S & P 500 by more than 6 percentage points. So, investors must acknowledge that if Trump's path to victory against Harris or a potential unknown pinch-hitter is less certain, then uncertainty must, by extension, apply to the Trump trade.

In a Monday interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer, Domino's Pizza CEO Russell Weiner discussed weakened guidance the company gave last week for its international business. The company said this is largely due to weakness in Domino's Pizza Enterprises, its largest international franchisee with stores that operate in Australia, New Zealand, France and the Netherlands, among other countries. According to Weiner, Domino's business in the U.S. is strong, and "value has never been higher," with increased orders on "on our delivery business, carry out business, every single income segment." "There are some people who don't like Domino's pizza. "And so, this is a great product for those folks, and we're bringing incremental eaters into Domino's Pizza."

Before Trump took the stage at the rally, the director said, the Secret Service had been notified “between two and five times” that there was a suspicious person in the area. Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna pointed out that the Secret Service director who ran the agency when Reagan was shot eventually resigned from his post. Investors can generate portfolio income and benefit from price appreciation in their stock holdings with an options strategy — provided they do it right. In addition, if the strike price is sufficiently higher than the current price, the initial investor can benefit from the appreciation in the meantime. For instance, if the underlying stock falls short of the strike price, the premium can provide some cushion on the downside. Bank of America highlighted a call option with a strike price of $220 against Constellation Energy . Freshpet also made the grade, with Bank of America highlighting a call option with a $140 strike price.

On Sunday, the American clinched the Open Championship to claim the second major of his career. South Africa’s Thriston Lawrence finished one shot behind Rose and Horschel in tied-fourth, with American Russell Henley a further stroke back. Yet the attacks were coming from all angles now, the most ferocious of all from playing partner Lawrence and Schauffele, two holes ahead. The steely-eyed barrage continued with two more birdies across the next three holes to open up a three shot lead. Rose and Lawrence had barely erred, each bogeying just once, but such was the relentless pace set by Schauffele.
