☆ A new ETF uses AI to emulate Warren Buffett's investment style

Investment startup Intelligent Alpha is working on launching the Intelligent Omaha ETF , with the ticker AIWB, that relies on AI to emulate the Berkshire Hathaway CEO's investment philosophy and create a portfolio of 25-30 stocks that it thinks Buffett might buy. It remains to be seen how deeply AI could understand Buffett's unique investing style that has evolved significantly over seven decades. All about AI Intelligent Alpha has been testing its Buffett strategy for six months and the portfolio AI puts together would overlap Berkshire's by anywhere between 30 to 60%. "The vision for Intelligent Alpha is to build the AI-powered BlackRock," Clinton said. "There are two big pillars, serving retail investors [through Registered Investment Advisors], and then there's serving institutional investors."

Hezbollah meanwhile has been launching a barrage of rockets and other projectiles at Israel in what it says is retaliation for Israeli attacks in Lebanon. Israel meanwhile fired nearly 300 projectiles into southern Lebanon on Saturday in what the military said was pre-emptive action against a planned Hezbollah attack. Israel continued its strikes into Sunday, with Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA) reporting two people were killed Sunday morning in southern Lebanon. Speaking on Sunday, Netanyahu again put the focus on ensuring the return of Israel citizens to their homes in northern Israel and to restore security in that region.

Buffett himself has indicated in recent years that he doesn't see an abundance of compelling value on offer in the public markets. But this in itself isn't much of a clue about future market prospects or the macroeconomic moment. Borgato says he believes "Buffett wants to leave a Berkshire behind that requires [fewer] future cash allocation decisions, not more." I'm not a buyer of the "cash on the sidelines" case for expecting money market assets to drain into stocks.
