To help show how you can eat a predominantly non-UPF diet, Ludlam-Raine shared how she eats on an average day with BI. Sourdough toast is a versatile lunch baseFor lunch, Ludlam-Raine uses sourdough bread as a base, but makes sure to choose one that is genuine sourdough as opposed to "sourfaux." Sourdough bread should only feature flour, water, and salt on its ingredients list. She encourages people to eat unprocessed foods freely while being mindful of the sugar and fat content.

Experts told Business Insider the Ukraine war has underscored how some elements of modern air combat are radically changing. And in fights like Desert Storm and the Iraq War, the West established air superiority by taking out its opponent's air defenses. Physical goods have accounted for much of the deflation over the past year, according to economists. Outside of supply-demand dynamics, the U.S. dollar's strength relative to other global currencies has also helped rein in prices for goods, economists said. However, a shift toward higher tariffs and less free trade could serve to push up goods prices "quite significantly," she added. Why there's been deflation for food, travel, electronicsPrices have also declined for items including food, travel and electronics. In my advice column, For Love & Money, I get a lot of big questions about paying for weddings. The key to all my advice is that a wedding is about exactly two people — and that's OK.Do you have your own questions about money and relationships? It seemed that what hurt the aunt most was that this niece later married the guy anyway, without a big wedding, inviting the aunt, or repaying her. I encouraged the bride to lean into the universally acknowledged truth that a person's wedding day is their own. I thought about what I had learned about gentle parentingThe voices of gentle parenting experts — more accurately, the Instagram posts by certain accounts such as Big Little Feelings and Responsive Parenting — ran on loops in my mind. As we waded deeper into toddlerhood, it became clear that gentle parenting — on top of being impractical — was sucking all of the joy out of parenthood. The market is only driven by a handful of massive tech stocks – and therefore, it's built on a weaker foundation than a market advancing on a broader swath of its constituents. Companies don't lose dominance or stock leadership because they were dominant the last time we had a bull market. We trimmed Nvidia, Meta Platforms, Palo Alto Networks , and five other tech stocks at the beginning of the year. Would the market suddenly become more investible if we broke up the Super Six into say 15 different companies and stocks? However, we don't think they are a reason to bail entirely on any of these names.

A handful of states, including Texas and Nevada, have set up dedicated systems designed to restore tenants to their homes after an illegal lockout. She and her family still don't have a new apartment, she said, and the eviction cases on her record don't help. Officers interviewed two motel residents who called 911; they said they did not want to leave their homes. Alyssa Pointer for Business InsiderIn Georgia, an eviction requires a court order, but the law doesn't explicitly make lockouts illegal. In this case, an officer classified the incident as a "crime against property" — a crime committed by the residents themselves. In unincorporated Clark County, where the property is located, operating a short-term rental without a license is illegal. Matthew Main is an attorney who has represented residents in similarly precarious housing situations in New York City, where state law also grants residents tenants' rights after 30 days.

Mortgage rates have been holding steady so far this week, but they could fluctuate on Thursday when the Bureau of Labor Statistics releases June's Consumer Price Index data. If this index shows that inflation slowed last month, rates could ease. As inflation slows and the Federal Reserve is able to start lowering the federal funds rate, mortgage rates are expected to go down. This should remove some of the upward pressure off of mortgage rates and allow them to trend down more substantially. This means your entire monthly mortgage payment, including taxes and insurance, shouldn't exceed 28% of your pre-tax monthly income.
