Now, a small efficacy study published July 16 in the journal BMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine suggests a simple yet effective strategy to improve sleep duration: incorporating short resistance, or strength training, exercise breaks in the evening. The findings were compelling: The participants slept an average of 27.7 minutes longer when they took regular exercise breaks compared with when they sat uninterrupted. “Our research found that interrupting evening sitting time with short bursts of light intensity exercise improved sleep duration and did not disrupt sleep quality,” Gale added via email. “Adding quick, simple and light resistance exercise breaks to your evening routine could be a simple way to improve your sleep and health,” he said. A major goal of the list is to persuade bird watchers and others to look for these birds as they go out into the field, and to bring back evidence the birds have not gone extinct. People have searched for lost birds for decades. But the process was formalized in 2020 by the conservancy, in partnership with two other groups, Re:wild and BirdLife International, as the Search for Lost Birds project. Researchers from the groups published a paper in June with a definitive list of birds that need finding. The study concluded that there are 144 species of bird lost to the scientific world but that may still exist.

In the wake of German’s reporting, Telles went on to lose his Democratic primary race, bringing his time in public office to an end. Following the election, Telles published an angry letter on his website attacking the Review-Journal and its reporting, denying allegations in German’s reporting. Reporters and editors pored over German’s reporting in hopes of finding who was responsible for the attack.
