Mortgage rates are up slightly after initially trending a bit lower over the past few weeks.
"Following several weeks of decline, mortgage rates changed course this week," Sam Khater, Freddie Mac's chief economist, said in a press release.

15-year Fixed Mortgage RatesLast week, average 15-year mortgage rates were 6.36%, a 12-basis-point increase from the previous week, according to Freddie Mac data.
Once the Fed cuts rates, mortgage rates should fall even further.
