The ultra-rich can afford nearly anything, but that doesn't guarantee access, especially for sold-out games or limited-edition luxury items. Many clients are willing to pay top dollar for coveted Taylor Swift tickets but can't find them, and they have asked their advisors for help tracking them down. Many financial institutions prefer white-labeling, repackaging the services with the banks' branding, Gaby Stanley of Ten Lifestyle Group told Insider. The UK-based concierge clients include Coutts, HSBC, and Merrill Lynch. A recent poll of 1,005 US adults found the average American spends 26 minutes a day reading and responding to group chats. For us to survive and thrive as humans, it's time to agree on the Definitive Etiquette of the Group Chat. The ultimate appeal of group chats — their necessity, really — is that they've become the only social media that's actually social. Group chats can become overwhelming, of course, especially as they creep into other apps and especially as they often duplicate participants. Don't talk about the group chat outside the group chat.

Bridgewater rigged its "believability weighting" system to keep founder Ray Dalio on top, a new book says. That's according to "The Fund: Ray Dalio, Bridgewater Associates, and the Unraveling of a Wall Street Legend," out Tuesday from New York Times finance reporter Rob Copeland. Bridgewater's believability weighting system, in theory, was supposed to help determine how much weight a person's opinion carried and to help identify hidden talent within the firm. Bridgewater started experimenting with Dalio's believability weighting system with a prototype allowing staff to see each others' scores on a scale of 1-to-10, but Dalio wasn't pleased, the book said. In response to a request for comment from Insider on the book's assertions regarding the believability rating system, Bridgewater provided excerpts of letters that its lawyers sent to the book's publisher, St. Martin's Press.

Gen Zers aren't eager for promotions, partly because they believe management is unfulfilling. Gen Zers crave support, clarity on goals, a realistic career path. A shutdown could worsen the repayment challenges student-loan borrowers are experiencing. AdvertisementAdvertisementA government shutdown is once again looming, and it's threatening an already precarious return to repayment for student-loan borrowers. Thousands of federal workers would be furloughed, meaning Americans could face delays with customer service in programs like Social Security, along with student-loan repayment assistance. Even before federal student-loan payments officially resumed in October, borrowers were experiencing severe delays getting help from their student-loan servicers due to hours-long hold times and issues processing paperwork. Further limiting the number of customer service representatives available in the event of a shutdown would place a greater strain on borrowers.

He said that "voice cloning" is the one thing that keeps him up at night, Politico reported. "Voice cloning is one thing that keeps me up at night," White House Deputy Chief of Staff Bruce Reed told Politico. Phone scammers, for example, have already been exploiting advancements in voice cloning technology to make their schemes more believable. In April, one mother in Arizona received a call from a scammer who had used voice cloning software to pretend he had kidnapped her daughter. While we see our tech being overwhelmingly applied to positive use, we also see an increasing number of voice cloning misuse cases.

Well, when a landlord doesn't lower the rent to get a new retail tenant, it's because that landlord can't. They're free to renegotiate or refinance the terms of mortgages, given the extraordinary downturn facing retail storefronts. And the future will be full of even higher vacancy rates, higher interest rates, and lower rents. Retail rents have flattened, she says, but the construction of retail space has not. Still, from an urban-planning standpoint, the way we finance retail space makes no sense.
