Not if he’s beaten by a Republican who had to buy into his fictions or emulate his ugliness to claim the prize. Not if the Republican Party remains hostage to the extremism on display in the House over these past few months. That assessment isn’t Trump derangement syndrome. Cheney describes House Republicans’ enduring surrender to Trump as cowardly and cynical, and she’s cleareyed on what his nomination in 2024 would mean. That’s why the stakes of this election are titanic even without Trump on the ballot.

I'm a college-admissions expert, and I know what helps teens most when applying to college. If your teen or preteen has similar knowledge gaps, no amount of willpower or positive thinking will compensate. With regard to college admissions, please rethink this. The World Health Organization (WHO) last week requested China provide detailed information on the spike, which a WHO official said was not as high as before the COVID-19 pandemic. China, whose government claims democratically governed Taiwan as its own, initially tried to cover up that outbreak. In a statement released after a weekly Cabinet meeting, Taiwan's health ministry said that due to the rise in respiratory illnesses in China, "the elderly, young children and other people with poor immunity are requested not to travel to China unless necessary". China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Wednesday that the rise in respiratory illnesses in China was a common issue faced by all countries and that Chinese authorities have it under effective control.

By Gabrielle Tétrault-FarberGENEVA (Reuters) - The World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday called for Gaza's vulnerable health infrastructure to be safeguarded as the war-torn enclave faces an increased risk of epidemics and challenges in detecting infectious diseases. Speaking at a press conference in Geneva, World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said only 15 of Gaza's 36 hospitals were still functioning and were completely overwhelmed. "The remaining health system capacity must be protected, supported and expanded." "With severe overcrowding, the risks are increasing for epidemics of respiratory tract infections, acute watery diarrhoea, hepatitis, scabies, lice and other diseases," Tedros said. "Any resumption of violence could damage the health facilities and make more health facilities dysfunctional," said Richard Peeperkorn, WHO Representative in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Ever since, her bloodwork has indicated that she is experiencing extreme inflammation, a hallmark of autoimmune disease. But the space-based medical science needed to make that possible has been hindered by small sample sizes that aren’t representative of the general population. As less-rigorous medical screening allows more tourists to reach space, the chances increase significantly that someone will get hurt or have a health emergency there. And if we survived those perils, wouldn’t escalating pressure in our skulls kill us after a week or so? Want a four-day workweek? You’re not alone

New York CNN —If you’ve always thought you might be happier with a four-day workweek, you’re hardly alone. While studies of four-day workweek experiments in the United States and Europe have found generally positive results in terms of employee productivity and well-being, it’s not necessarily a positive for everyone in every situation. Those who always have to work onsite might get a greater benefit from a four-day workweek because it provides an element of flexibility that they don’t have now. “Whereas, in remote-ready jobs, there is some built-in flexibility, which may create less need for a four-day workweek,” he noted. While the four-day workweek was the top pick overall in the newly released Gallup survey, when it comes to having a positive impact on well-being, two other options were not far behind.

That's on top of an existing 2015 lawsuit alleging that his farm sold defective pistachio trees.
