For Amazon, the event tested how members of its Prime subscription program would respond to two major discount events in the same year, after the company's main Prime Day sale in July. They estimate Amazon brought in $5.7 billion in revenue from the Prime Early Access Sale vs. $7.5 billion in July. The average spend per order during the Prime Early Access Sale was $46.68, down from $60.29 on Prime Day, according to market research firm Numerator. Party Round is now Capital and will offer more features beyond fundraising capabilities. Party Round, the fundraising app for startups, has rebranded as Capital, expanding its services beyond a tool to raise cash. Jordi Hays, Capital CEO, said the rebrand was really tied to the company's expanding vision to support other startups as they built Party Round with the idea of becoming a sort of neobank. But now, once they've begun fundraising, Capital can issue a virtual Visa debit card to users so they can start using the cash they just received. Capital has a long history with NFTs; Party Round went viral in 2021 after it launched NFT versions of top VCs.

For Wall Street brokerages, one answer is simply to flout it. At many of the firms, even managers whose job it was to enforce those rules were copiously breaking them. The regulators at least didn’t say they’d uncovered anything illegal, though disappearing-message apps and encryption make evidence easy to hide. But it’s still troubling to find widespread, frequent examples of bank employees, many with “global firm-wide leadership” roles, routinely doing something their companies forbid. The SEC fined the firms $1.1 billion, while the CFTC fined the same companies around $710 million.
