CAJAMARCA, Peru, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Archaeologists in northern Peru have unearthed a 3,000-year-old tomb which they believe might have honored an elite religious leader in the Andean country some three millennia ago. Two seals were also found along the upper edges of the tomb, one with an anthropomorphic face looking east and another with a jaguar design facing west. "Though this person is a man, the associations are very peculiar," said Seki. Last year's find of the "Priest of the Pututos," however, is believed to be older. While her greatest success has come on grass, 2022 Wimbledon champion Rybakina's style can be devastating on hard courts, as she showed in some key clashes with major rivals on the surface this year. The 24-year-old beat Sabalenka in the Indian Wells final and got the better of Swiatek in straight sets at both the Australian Open and Indian Wells. Muchova will be feeling particularly confident, having reached the final of the Cincinnati Masters with wins over two top-10 ranked players -- Sabalenka and Sakkari. Muchova's compatriot Vondrousova will be hoping to build on her title-winning Wimbledon run, while two-time Wimbledon champion Kvitova is one of the most experienced players in the draw and will prove a tough test for any opponent. The presence of former world number ones Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki, who have been given wild cards by organisers, adds another layer of unpredictability to the draw.

"The main issue with methanol at this stage is increasing access and the scale of green production," Peter Lye, global head of shipping at Anglo American, said. Reuters GraphicsNetherlands-based OCI, which supplied green methanol to Maersk's first ship, can produce up to 200,000 tpy of the renewable fuel. Bashir Lebada, CEO of OCI's methanol and fuels business, said the vessel orders have given suppliers a confidence boost in advancing their green methanol projects even though production is "very small" now. Most green methanol projects are located in China, northern Europe and North America - far from major bunker hubs Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, creating a logistical gap. Within Asia, South Korea and China are set to increase their capacity to fuel ships with green methanol.

The case has drawn attention in Mexico, including President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador saying earlier in the week that he would ask the German president to bolster the search for Sanchez. REUTERS/Andrew Kelly/File Photo/File PhotoAug 4 (Reuters) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Friday approved Biogen (BIIB.O) and Sage Therapeutics' (SAGE.O) oral pill to treat postpartum depression (PPD) in adults. The companies had sought the FDA's approval for the drug, Zurzuvae, to treat major depressive disorder (MDD), or clinical depression, as well as postpartum depression, which affect millions of people. Analysts have anticipated that the stocks of both companies would fall if the drug was approved only for postpartum depression, due to the smaller patient population. Until now, the FDA said, treatment for postpartum depression was available only as an intravenous injection.

However, the main characteristic of a patriarchal society is one where men hold more power and authority which subsequently leads to male privilege. As such, a woman's place in a patriarchal society is primarily to be homemakers, procreators or caregivers. Gender inequality -- the unequal treatment of someone based solely on their gender -- is an outcome of patriarchal societies but the terms do not mean the same thing. Despite strides towards sex equality that have been gaining momentum for more than a century, the US remains a patriarchal society. While not evenly accorded to all males, being assigned male at birth in a patriarchal society comes with privileges.

LONDON, July 27 (Reuters) - A former Barclays (BARC.L) director who was fired for sexual harassment has lost an employment lawsuit against the British bank in which he sought nearly 600,000 pounds ($770,000) in compensation, a London tribunal announced on Thursday. He argued at the East London Employment Tribunal in March that female colleagues fabricated allegations against him and that his dismissal was unfair. But his complaints of unfair dismissal, breach of contract and sex discrimination were rejected on July 10, according to a summary of the tribunal's findings published on Thursday. Barclays and Record's lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment. But Barclays said Record's dismissal was fair based on disciplinary findings including "unwelcome physical contact with a female colleague" and sexual harassment, filings showed.

TOKYO, July 11 (Reuters) - Japan's Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that restricting a transgender woman's use of toilets at her workplace was "unacceptable", a decision that may help promote LGBT rights in the only G7 nation without legal protection for same-sex unions. A Tokyo District Court ruled in 2019 that these restrictions were unlawful, but the decision was reversed in 2021 by the Tokyo High Court. In Japan, transgender people can only legally change their gender on their family register if they have had gender reassignment surgery. The woman in the court case was unable to do so due to health reasons, media said. Some lawmakers formed a group to guarantee the safety of women in toilets and public baths or hot springs.

Vladimir Putin appears uncertain what to do about Yevgeny Prigozhin, experts say. In June, Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin staged a rebellion against Russian military leaders he blamed for failings in the Ukraine invasion. London writes that "paranoid" Putin in not dealing decisively with Prigozhin has sent signals to other would-be challengers of his authority. It was an uncharacteristically lenient response from Putin, who has in the past ruthlessly persecuted critics and political opponents. According to a former Kremlin security official who defected to the West, Putin has long lived in fear of challenges to his power and assassination attempts, and is surrounded by layers of security.

The cases involve what has come to be known as the "administrative state," the agency bureaucracy that interprets laws, crafts federal rules and implements executive action. It also could overturn a decades-old precedent that helps federal agencies defend their regulatory actions in court. The case involves a lawsuit by trade groups representing the payday loan industry against the agency that enforces consumer financial laws. The companies asked the court to overturn its own precedent that calls for judges to defer to federal agency interpretation of U.S. laws, a doctrine called "Chevron deference." The court's embrace of the "major questions" doctrine has provided a seismic shift in its approach toward agency power.
