Authorities say Ryan Wesley Routh was lying in wait for former President Donald Trump at the West Palm Beach golf course on Sunday with a semi-automatic rifle. Another business owner who was visited by the FBI believed their business may have had surveillance video of Routh leaving the scene, and that business owner says the FBI copied the file containing the video. A third business said that agents visited them for surveillance video after the shooting. Federal charging documents allege that Routh arrived at the golf course at 1:59 a.m. ET the day he was allegedly spotted with a weapon near the course, based on FBI cell phone analysis.

New York CNN —Nike, struggling from rising competition and its own strategy mistakes, is making a major shakeup. The athletic giant announced Thursday that CEO John Donahoe will retire next month and will be replaced by Elliott Hill, a veteran former Nike executive. Nike’s stock rose 9% during after-hours trading Thursday, a sign Wall Street was eager for a CEO change. Nike’s stock has dropped 24% so far this year. But the change hurt Nike’s sales.

New York CNN —The strike at Boeing by 33,000 members of the International Association of Machinists union, which reaches its seventh day today, has already cost the company and workers $572 million, according to an estimate from Anderson Economic Group. “The first week of losses for Boeing are substantial, but they’ll pale in comparison to what comes in the following weeks,” Anderson told CNN. The strike at Boeing (BA), on the other hand, has yet to have a measurable economic impact on airlines so far, Anderson said. The losses for workers, primarily the 33,000 union members who have gone on strike, as well as for suppliers come to about $117 million in the first week. The strike will also cost about $10 million in local losses, including at businesses near the plants, according to Anderson.

Olive Garden already offers delivery through its website and app, delivered by the restaurant’s employees. Even during the height of the pandemic, Olive Garden didn’t use the services, although the services benefited their competitors. The partnership likely alleviated some of the pain of a dismal quarter for Olive Garden, which reported a 2.9% drop in same-store sales for the quarter. Olive Garden doesn’t offer many discounts, like its competitors do.

Since the lodge's laundry service had a too-long turnaround time, I had to wash my underwear and socks in the sink with a hotel soap bar. I tried to buy clothing, but in this remote part of Africa, we only had access to the lodge's gift shop. You can imagine the dirty looks I got from other tourists when I showed up for our safari in my shirt as if I hadn't known the proper dress code.

The Google-owned platform confirmed Thursday that it has “widely rolled out Pause ads to all advertisers.” When the video is paused, an ad will pop up on the side of the screen, according to social media posts. You’re putting up ads when you pause a video now?,” one X user posted. Though not revealing specific financial insights, the company said the pause ads were profitable. “Initial results show that pause ads are driving strong brand lift results and are commanding premium pricing from advertisers,” Schindler said during the April call.
