I commuted two hours a day to a dirty, physical job and felt unfulfilled. E-commerce fit all these requirements, but besides selling digital albums on iTunes, I had zero experience trying to sell anything. I got started on YouTubeOne night, I found a nearly five-hour-long YouTube video tutorial on private-label brands by Dan Vas. AdvertisementI looked for products to sell that had a balance of great sales potential and low competition. Try not to fall victim to shiny object syndromeAt the beginning of my e-commerce journey, I started three other brands that didn't pan out.

And how many blue-collar workers will support Trump in the false belief that he’s on their side? Naturally, that’s not the way Trump tells the story. In September, during an autoworkers’ strike, Trump, addressing workers at a nonunion Michigan auto parts factory, declared that he had saved an auto industry that was “on its knees, gasping its last breaths” when he took office. The day before, by contrast, Biden joined union workers on the picket line. When Trump took office, the auto industry had already regained most of the ground it had lost during the Great Recession.

Under federal sentencing guidelines, he could face a maximum of 110 years. In the memo, Bankman-Fried’s lawyer, Marc Mukasey, asks the judge overseeing the case to reject the pre-sentencing report prepared by the Probation Department, which recommends a 100-year sentence. Considering Bankman-Fried’s “charitable works and demonstrated commitment to others” Mukasey recommends a prison sentence between five and six-and-a-half years. The judge overseeing the case, Lewis Kaplan of the Southern District of New York, will weigh several factors in deciding Bankman-Fried’s sentence, including arguments from prosecutors, defense counsel and the recommendations from the Probation Department. Typically, in white-collar crimes, the bigger the financial loss, the longer the sentence.

If you want to understand how different the human and animal medicine and vaccine industries have historically been, you don't need to look much further than weight loss drugs. When Pfizer spun off its animal health business in 2013 creating Zoetis, about 65% of the company's business was livestock-related. That has flipped now, with 64% of the company's revenue coming from products for companion animals like cats and dogs. Peck credits the Pfizer spinoff for allowing Zoetis to better balance what the company wanted to do in animal health versus the human health side. A similar product was approved for cats, marking the first time that monoclonal antibody treatments, which have become increasingly popular for treating human illnesses, have been used to treat pet osteoarthritis pain.

Trump's departure from the White House hasn't stopped him from using the old administration's star power to fuel Capitol Ministries' growth. Rick Perry spoke to Drollinger at Capitol Ministries' global summit in Washington, DC. I moved back to Texas as an adult in 2018 for a position at a local newspaper. I had multiple eye-opening experiences that didn't align with my desired quality of life, so I left around two years later. The voting process was outdatedI experienced voting in person for the first time since I had been voting by mail in Oregon. The lead-up to the Abortion Ban was a heavy reason I left Texas, and this is a hill I will die on. Does your dog need a coat?

But all this begs the question: Does your dog need a coat? From high-fashion to high-performanceThere’s evidence of dog fashion and clothing throughout history — from the ancient Egyptians and 19th-century Paris dog boutiques to early 20th-century photographs of dogs wearing clothes. Prada's Re-Nylon puffer dog coat with hood comes in two colors and three sizes, $825 From PradaBut the transition from Fifth Avenue high-end and high fashion to high-performance and technical function has certainly accelerated in recent decades. Doberman Pinschers — along with sleek breeds like Greyhounds and Whippets — are prime candidates for dog coats because of their short hair, thin skin and minimal body fat. “Make sure the coat fits well for safety and they’re supervised while wearing the coat.

You’d think Wayne LaPierre would have read the playbook. After decades in the spotlight, the former chief executive of the National Rifle Association could have been expected to know that, for public figures, conspicuous consumption is always a bad look. This is seldom truer than when sartorial choices come into play. Haven’t we been here before? Wasn’t Sarah Palin rudely schooled on the matter back in 2008, when, even as she campaigned alongside Senator John McCain as a champion of blue-collar workers, it was revealed by Politico that staffers shopping for Ms. Palin spent more than $150,000 on clothes and accessories from high-end retailers like Neiman Marcus — in a single month.

A Texas judge ruled on Thursday that a school district’s dress code, which it used to suspend a Black student last year for refusing to change the way he wears his hair, did not violate a state law meant to prohibit race-based discrimination against people based on their hairstyle. The student, Darryl George, 18, has locs, or long ropelike strands of hair, that he pins on his head in a barrel roll, a protective style that his mother said reflected Black culture. He was separated from his classmates, given disciplinary notices, placed in in-school suspension and sent to an off-campus program. The hearing on Thursday, in the 253rd Judicial District Court in Anahuac, was in response to a lawsuit filed in September by the Barbers Hill Independent School District. The act, which took effect on Sept. 1, says a school district policy “may not discriminate against a hair texture or protective hairstyle commonly or historically associated with race.” It does not specifically mention hair length.

CNN —A Texas judge ruled Thursday that the state’s CROWN Act does not make it unlawful for school dress codes to limit a student’s hair length. The decision is a blow to Darryl George, a Houston-area high school student who sued his school district after he was suspended for months over the length of his locs hairstyle. The trial marks the conclusion to a monthslong legal battle between George and the Barbers Hill Independent School District. The district’s dress code allows students to wear locs hairstyles but places limits on the length of male student’s hair. “I’m nervous, but I’m happy.”Supporters of Darryl George hold signs during a protest outside of the home of Barbers Hill Independent School District superintendent Greg Poole on Wednesday, February, 22, 2024.

Trump, meanwhile, has been working to appeal to the blue-collar and union voters who were critical to his victory in 2016. But Trump was again most focused on his grievances, opening with a 15-minute screed about the criminal and civil cases against him.
