CNN —Smoking, vaping or eating marijuana is linked to a significantly higher risk of heart attack and stroke, even if a person had no existing heart conditions and did not smoke or vape tobacco, a new study found. While both daily and non-daily users had an increased risk of heart attack and stroke compared to nonusers, stroke risk rose 42% and the risk of heart attack rose 25% if cannabis was used daily, the study found. Younger adults — defined as men under 55 and women under 65 years old — who used marijuana had a 36% higher risk of coronary heart disease, heart attack and stroke regardless of whether they also used traditional tobacco products. Heart disease and marijuana use a known linkPrevious research has already found a link between heart disease and marijuana use. "Each of them knows the fourth district and understands the kind of principled leadership our community needs in Congress," said Sonnenberg. During one recent debate, Boebert was asked by one of her opponents to define the word "carpetbagger."

Delta-8 THC, or delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol, is one of more than 100 chemical compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant. To make delta-8 products, scientists typically make synthetic versions in the lab. Unlike regulated medical products like acetaminophen, which must have uniform ingredients and doses, the contents of delta-8 products vary from product to product — sometimes even from batch to batch. She also encourages people who buy delta-8 products to store them safely so children can’t get to them. Until there are more regulations on the products, experts said, poison centers will still get calls about delta-8 and other cannabis products.

It may be just electioneering: López Obrador leaves office in September, and he really wants his party’s candidate, former Mexico City mayor Claudia Sheinbaum, to win the presidential elections. López Obrador has made other unfulfilled promises in the past, like pledging Mexico would have a health care system “better than in Denmark." But the cost of what López Obrador is proposing for pensions is striking. The other half of Mexicans, who work under the table in the ‘informal’ economy, have no pension program at all. It seems unlikely to be achieved, so why would López Obrador propose it?
