NEW YORK (AP) — Executive producer Ryan Murphy is known for creating vivid TV worlds where high drama feels completely normal. Costume designer and producer Lou Eyrich has helped him bring these worlds alive, and their latest collaboration, “Feud: Capote vs. Eyrich said Watts, who plays Babe Paley, “got hit the hardest” as the main character besides Capote. The "office siren" corporate aesthetic is taking over TikTok, but it isn't necessarily new. It blends high-fashion corporate looks with '90s and 2000s vintage charm — fitting for Gen Z, which can't get enough of the Y2K era. The office siren look is bold red lips, pencil skirts, stilettos, turtlenecks, chunky jewelry, and tons of neutrals and blacks. She said the office siren aesthetic began taking off around the same time, coincidentally when she decided to post her outfits that aligned with the trend. "The office siren look is something that largely started in the office," Dwyer said.

MILAN (AP) — Prada brought nature indoors as a backdrop for its 2024-25 fall and winter menswear collection meant to get humans outside. The new Prada collection, unveiled on the third day of Milan Fashion Week menswear previews Sunday, marked “the return of the seasons,’’ as a point of renewal of the spirit, co-creative director Miuccia Prada said backstage. Without falling into strict categories of office wear and outdoor wear, Prada said that the collection “was meant for going outside,” and spending time there, not just as a point of transit. Raf Simons, Prada’s co-creative director, said the collection referenced water in its many forms: the sea, rain, a stream, ice. Always political, the Prada collection references climate change, but without being explicit.

‘Archie’ Review: Becoming Cary Grant

Jason Isaacs Photo: ITV StudiosAmerican cinema died in 1966, a European friend used to say, because that’s when Cary Grant retired. The friend favored turtlenecks and mohair and was a style-extremist, but is Grant still held in such regard by anyone? As it happens, on the afternoon I watched the four-part “Archie”—Grant having been born Archibald Leach in 1904—Turner Classic Movies was devoting an entire day to Cary Grant movies. If there were a Mount Rushmore dedicated to matinee idols of the Golden Age of Hollywood, two of the four heads would belong to Cary Grant. You search Mr. Isaacs’s face for signs of Cary, and you find them, albeit in flashes; he has the walk, and a craggy version of Grant’s younger, springy, English-y inflection.

The Theranos founder is expected to do so at Bryan federal prison camp in Texas. Elizabeth Holmes, the convicted founder of Theranos, is expected to start serving her 11-year sentence at a federal prison camp in Texas Tuesday. At the prison camp, the 39-year-old mother of two will have no choice but to don khaki prison garb. A copy of "Bad Blood," John Carreyrou's book about the rise and fall of Holmes and Theranos, has been spotted in the library of the prison camp, per The Journal. The prison camp holds about 650 women convicted of white-collar crimes, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
There's a "new" Elizabeth Holmes in town, at least according to The New York Times. But did her teardown kill the black turtleneck? In March 2015, Glamour magazine asked Elizabeth Holmes about her style and ran a story about her called "Meet the $9 Billion Woman: Career Advice From Theranos Founder Elizabeth Holmes." Posters of Hulu's "The Dropout" feature Amanda Seyfried as Elizabeth Holmes, clad, of course, in the signature turtleneck look. Deep down, I don't think Homes killed the black turtleneck — not really.

"God forbid I get in any more back and forth on here today but I…..didn't hate the Elizabeth Holmes profile? Elizabeth Holmes did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment sent via her legal representative Lance Wade after regular business hours.

She said she spent six months in 2019 sleeping in an RV with her partner while building her defense. Holmes and Billy Evans, who was a fixture during her trial, welcomed their second child earlier this year. Disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes gave a series of bizarre pre-prison interviews to the New York Times in an attempt to salvage her public image. Holmes' several interviews with The Times as an attempt for rehabilitation, however, are likely to be stymied by her conviction.
Elon Musk insisted multiple times during a BBC interview that his dog is Twitter's CEO. Musk quipped that his Shiba Inu, Floki, is the one in charge of the company. During a live interview on Twitter Spaces with BBC journalist James Clayton, Musk kept correcting Clayton when the latter called Musk Twitter's CEO. The BBC interview was one of several occasions that Musk has joked about his dog being Twitter CEO. On April 3, Musk replaced Twitter's bird logo with the Shiba Inu — or doge — meme.

Turtlenecks have a PR problem among men. Too many guys put them firmly in the “not for me” category, thinking them overly constricting, pretentious or artsy. We’ve decided to assume the role of the turtleneck’s publicist. Because the thing is, this casual but tidy sweater is an easy option in countless settings.
Other world leaders who died in 2022 include former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, who died in August. The final days of 2022 saw the loss of some exceptionally notable figures, including Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. Here is a roll call of some influential figures who died in 2022 (cause of death cited for younger people, if available):___JANUARY___Dan Reeves, 77. A Cuban-born artist whose radiant color palette and geometric paintings were overlooked for decades before the art world took notice. A prolific character actor best known for playing villains and tough guys in “The Manchurian Candidate,” “Ocean’s Eleven” and other films.
Pat Mills is a movie director who's directed his share of made-for-TV Christmas movies. I've directed two made-for-TV Christmas movies — "The Christmas Setup," starring Fran Drescher, which I did in 2020 for Discovery Plus, and "Designing Christmas," starring HGTV host Hilary Farr, which I shot this past spring for Lifetime. When I was offered the first movie, I admittedly I hadn't watched a lot of the Hallmark or Lifetime holiday movies. Here are a few things most people don't realize about how we fake that Christmas feeling when we shoot in the warmer months. Fake snow can be a huge drag on the budget of a made-for-TV movie.
TURTLENECKS HAVE A PR PROBLEM among men. Too many guys put them firmly in the “not for me” category, thinking them overly constricting, pretentious or artsy. The chin-grazing knit’s reputation suffered a further blow this fall, when French finance minister Bruno Le Maire seemingly declared a plan to reduce winter heating bills by wearing turtlenecks—and was widely mocked. “Let them wear cashmere!”Putting French politics aside, we’ve decided to assume the role of the turtleneck’s publicist. And turtlenecks have poked their heads into every fashion category this winter, from luxe (the Row) to sporty (Uniqlo Heattech).
Companies Theranos Inc FollowNov 8 (Reuters) - Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes' request for a new trial was denied by a federal judge in California late on Monday, court documents showed. In January, Holmes, 37, was found guilty of defrauding investors in the blood testing startup, convicting her on four of 11 counts. She was convicted of investor fraud and conspiracy, but acquitted on three counts of defrauding patients who paid for tests from Theranos, and a related conspiracy charge. In July, former Theranos President Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani was also convicted of defrauding investors and patients about Theranos that was once valued at $9 billion. Holmes' lawyers filed for a new trial in September citing "newly discovered" evidence from the government's statements made at the closing arguments of Balwani’s trial, as well as alleged government misconduct.
Dear Work It Out,I'm back in the office 3 days a week and have somehow forgotten how to dress myself in anything other than soft pants. Please help me figure out how to put as little thought into this as possible, yet look fashionable and like a boss. "Since uniform dressing has gotten the tech founder treatment over the years, it may seem more limiting than it needs to be. It doesn't have to be that you only wear black turtlenecks," Hardy says. In fact, plenty of people who aren't Big Tech CEOs embrace uniform dressing.
Christine Quinn, from Netflix's "Selling Sunset," shops at low-cost stores for everyday clothes. Quinn told the WSJ she bought leggings from Costco, crop tops from Uniqlo, and tank tops from Hanes. "I do like Costco," Quinn told the Journal. The realtor said she owns black leggings from American retailer Costco, crop tops from Japanese retailer Uniqlo, and men's tank tops from Hanes. Quinn told the Journal that Uniqlo offers comfortable clothes that "don't break the bank."
