Editor’s Note: CNN Style is one of the official media partners of Paris Fashion Week. This past week, fashion designers converged in the city for Paris Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2025 menswear collections — but nothing was business as usual. Swan Gallet/WWD/Getty ImagesRapper A$AP Rocky, too, made a statement for his Paris Fashion Week debut — a secret show for his label AWGE, which launched earlier this year. On the runway, models marched with their heads covered by American eagle flags, wore slogans like “Don’t be Dumb” and carried plastic bags filled with cash. The latest Comme des Garçon collection featured lashings of Barbie pink and frothy tulle skorts.

Read previewWhen Taylor Swift uploaded a YouTube Shorts video to promote her new album on April 19, Blogilates founder Cassey Ho was getting her roots touched up at a hair salon. AdvertisementBut given their connected history, Ho thinks Swift may have seen one of her promotional videos for the skort. The bigger pictureWhile Ho is ecstatic about Swift wearing her skort design from the perspective of a business owner and Swiftie, she's also grateful for another reason. Ho also said she's seen new knockoffs popping up now that Swift has been seen wearing the original. But in the meantime, she said, Swift wearing the original feels like the "ultimate karma" against shops that have stolen her work — something Swift herself is deeply familiar with.

Sorority rush is a tradition at many colleges. But in the South, rush inspires the same passionate zeal as collegiate football. Thanks to TikTok, the University of Alabama’s incarnation of that tradition — peak neo-antebellum white Southern culture on display — is now a global phenomenon. Since it entered the zeitgeist in 2021, millions of people have followed Bama Rush, as if they’re royal watching through Mason-jar-tinted glasses. When a small phalanx of white coeds in Tuscaloosa self-organizes under the Bama Rush banner to promote their sorority, they are battling for ritual supremacy.

If you watch winners in dresses, you think winners wear dresses. And it exists, Ms. Fleshman said, “until someone asks to change it.” Until someone says, effectively, “Wait — why are we doing it this way?”Wait. Wait, why are athletes wearing white shorts and wondering if spectators can tell they are menstruating instead of focusing on doing their job? Wait, why are the armholes of basketball jerseys so enormous that they act like windows to the sports bra? Or so found Hajo Adam, an organizational psychologist at the University of Bath in England, and Adam D. Galinsky in their 2012 paper, “Enclothed Cognition,” which looked at the effect white lab coats have on the wearers.

This Skort Is the Best Summer Clothing Item I’ve Ever Purchased

By Madeline DiamondDressing for the summertime (especially in hot and sticky New York City) has always been a pain for me. For the past two summers, I’ve lived in the brand’s Sport Skort. Instead, I’m full of confidence when I wear it, thanks to the security of built-in bike shorts that have a compressive but not restrictive fit. Plus, the summer heat was no match for the skort’s soft, stretchy blend of RPET (a fabric sourced from recycled plastic bottles) and spandex. Up close, its texture looks like a typical pair of leggings, yet the fabric’s matte finish makes it blend nicely with dressier clothing.
