For a food that begins with just flour, water or sometimes eggs, there are infinite variations of pasta. So what happens when you convene a panel of five Italian cuisine experts and ask them to determine the 25 most essential pasta dishes throughout Italy? The final picks appear below in unranked alphabetical order, along with the ideal wine to drink with each pasta dish, as recommended by the chosen restaurants and reviewed by Davies’s husband, the sommelier Marco Lami. This list is the latest in our T 25 series, which highlights significant achievements in the worlds of design, literature, fashion, architecture and food. We chose pasta because it’s the food most associated with Italy, and because it’s the subject of T’s new Travel issue.

Here's how much it costs to own a superyacht — and what that money is going toward. Billionaires like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Steve Jobs each spent nine figures on their megayachts. Avidity Biosciences stock has more room to run thanks to the company's pipeline of multiple treatments for rare muscle disorders, according to Bank of America. Avidity has a therapeutic platform — antibody oligonucleotide conjugates — that was well-received at the time it went public in 2020, Meacham said. But shares were hurt by a clinical hold on Avidity's leading program for treating an uncommon muscle disorder, DM1. The program, tested in the Marina trial, recently saw long-term data that has "helped lift that key overhang on the stock," Meacham said. Those catalysts are tied to two other drugs in the muscle disorder space that are expected to report data this year, according to Meacham.

While the US dithered over aid, Ukraine had a robust argument for prosecuting the war pretty much as it pleased. "Taking out a particular refinery is not going to immediately undermine Russia's war effort," said Dailey, the RAND strategist. "But consistently putting pressure on Russia's oil sector would have a significant impact on Russia's ability to fight this war." AdvertisementVakulenko, in his article, also noted that that strikes on Russian oil refineries have "little impact on Russian export earnings." Macao, the Chinese special administrative region (SAR) often twinned with Hong Kong, is known as the Las Vegas of Asia. But travelers who are willing to dig in a little deeper can explore Macanese culture, which mixes Portuguese, Chinese and Southeast Asian heritages. Macao is comprised of two islands – the north one, Macao itself, and its southern neighbor Taipa. “In Asia, [people] think that Macao is full of casinos, and I think they do not understand the other parts of Macao,” says Lai. That means that they can live in Macao without a work visa and do not need a company sponsoring them.

Dazert said he expects new superyacht sales to "go down a little bit further this year" given the continued costs and delays. Sales of new superyachts (yachts over 100 feet long) fell 17% last year, according to the new SuperYacht Times' State of Yachting report. Superyachts sales took a dive in 2023, as long waiting lists, soaring costs and oligarch sanctions hit demand, according to a new report. Americans are picking up some of the slack, accounting for nearly a quarter of all superyacht sales last year. There are now nearly 6,000 superyachts, triple the number in 2002, according to SuperYacht Times.

Singapore's non-oil domestic exports plunged 20.7% in March from a year ago, a sharp decline from the revised 0.2% fall in February. The 20.7% fall missed expectations by a huge margin, with economists polled by Reuters forecasting a 7% fall. This is the largest drop in non-oil domestic exports recorded by Singapore since January 2023. On a month-on-month basis, non-oil domestic exports slid 8.4%, also more than the 4.5% expected in the Reuters forecast.
