Baldwin’s attorneys had accused prosecutors of misconduct during the grand jury process and sought to have the case dismissed. Baldwin’s lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the indictment in March. House Republicans have introduced a series of bills to take aim at voting by noncitizens, which is already a felony in federal elections, where those who study the issue say it almost never occurs. This week, they are planning to push through a bill that would roll back a District of Columbia law allowing noncitizens to vote in local elections, which they contend is needed to prevent Democrats from expanding the practice to other jurisdictions. And Republicans are advancing another measure that would require states to obtain proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate or passport, when registering a person to vote. The legislation has virtually no chance of becoming law, but it serves to amplify one of Mr. Trump’s favorite pre-emptive claims of election fraud.

A Pennsylvania teenager had to be resuscitated in March when he went into cardiac arrest after drinking Panera Bread's highly caffeinated Charged Lemonade, a lawsuit says. His ordeal was first reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette several days before Panera announced it was discontinuing its Charged Lemonade. Charged Lemonade contains caffeine from multiple sources, including the stimulant guarana extract. Previously, it had advertised its Charged Lemonade as "Plant-based and Clean" with as much caffeine as its dark roast coffee. During his hospital stay, they implanted a subcutaneous defibrillator, a device that will shock Adams' heart if he has a life-threatening heart rhythm in the future.
