Her image shifted in 2008 after she launched her eponymous fashion brand, which has since shown regularly at London, New York and Paris Fashion Weeks. While her wardrobe today tends to skew more subtle, there’s still nothing Victoria can’t style out — including, most recently, a pair of crutches to support her broken ankle. LBDs and all-black looks were a mainstay of Victoria's wardrobe as Posh Spice, demonstrated here at Grosvenor House in London during the Ivor Novello Awards in 1997. Andreas Rentz/Getty ImagesHer penchant for color-blocking, particularly in bright reds and oranges, have become a signature feature of Victoria's look — shown here during a visit to New York in 2017. Gen Z is growing disinterested in the extravagant brand trips influencers are sent on. The generation that has grown up with social media says the lavish lifestyles of the internet's rich and famous no longer thrill them. Tarte brand trips are famed in the influencer worldFor years, brand trips have been a way to solidify a company's name among the young people who watch YouTube and scroll TikTok and Instagram. Varbanova said there are some young people — mostly millennials and DINKs — who still see over-the-top, out-of-touch brand trips as aspirational. If Gen Z's spending money is the goal, brand trips are missing the mark.

CNN —Attending the 2023 Tony Awards in New York Sunday night, Lupita Nyong’o arrived in timeless formalwear: a sharp black velvet dinner jacket and flared trousers. Nyong’o was wearing a custom breastplate cast and molded on her body by Misha Japanwala, a Pakistani artist and designer whose subversive sculptures are already increasingly attracting an impressive celebrity clientele. (An exhibition of Japanwala’s work is also currently on display at the Hannah Traore art gallery in New York.) Misha Japanwala's work "asks viewers to see the body exactly as it is," the artist writes on her website. Japanwala’s work, however, presents a very different picture.

The largest hedge funds are using their high fees to attract and retain new talent. The competition for investment talent is escalating, and finding top portfolio managers is no longer a contact sport — it's an all-out war. The types of senior portfolio managers in high demand are those who command attention and have uncommon idea flows. What makes portfolio managers moveMost portfolio managers aren't driven by compensation; they've typically made out well financially. John Pierson is the founder and CEO of P2 Investments, a New York-based talent-acquisition firm that specializes in recruiting hedge-fund portfolio managers.
BEIJING — China on Monday launched the third and final module to complete its permanent space station, realizing a more than decade-long endeavor to maintain a constant crewed presence in orbit. Many waved Chinese flags and wore T-shirts emblazoned with the characters for China, reflecting the deep national pride invested in the space program and the technological progress it represents. China’s crewed space program is officially three decades old this year. The U.S. excluded China from the International Space Station because of its military ties. Prior to launching the Tianhe module, China’s Manned Space Program launched a pair of single-module stations that it crewed briefly as test platforms.
