CNN —Pop star Miley Cyrus stunned the Grammys red carpet on Sunday by wearing a gown that appeared to be almost entirely made of gold safety pins. The metallic, net-like dress channeled both a 1920s flapper and an Egyptian goddess, its pins intricately arranged to resemble a collar and undergarments. Miley Cyrus poses on the red carpet on her way into the 66th Grammy Awards. Cyrus completed her red carpet look with a pair of yellow tabis, the split-toe shoes that have become a cult favorite among Margiela fans. But now, the short-form video pioneer is changing course and pushing users to make and consume longer videos. “I think TikTok is now [thinking], ‘We need to show [advertisers] that we can keep people staying on one video longer,’” Stein said. Consumers are also more likely to sit through a pre-roll ad for a video longer than one-minute than a video that’s nearly the same length as the ad itself. The company also says it recommends longer videos the same way it does shorter ones, based on user preferences rather than video length. She said that even when making relatively simple “storytime” videos, where she’s just sitting and talking to the camera, making videos longer than 1-minute means investing significant time and effort.

Winters are the hardest part about living in a housetruck, Kai told BI — and one struggle in particular riveted viewers recently. AdvertisementBut some people — including one top-voted commenter — criticized her for her use of commercial hair products. While it's not an excuse for using conventional products, Kai told BI her overall lifestyle is "much more eco-friendly than … most other people." Nevertheless, she solicited recommendations for eco-friendly hair products that were affordable and accessible in Canada.

Siloxanes are "ubiquitous" in hair productsSiloxanes, commonly known as silicones, are volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are "ubiquitous" in hair products, according to the study. AdvertisementIn the study, researchers measured VOC emissions during participants' typical hair care routines. They also had participants use the same products with and without heat tools to see if temperature made a difference. Heat tools increase emissionsResearchers found that using heat tools like straighteners and curling irons increased VOC emissions by up to three times as much when used at the highest setting. More research is needed on the long-term effectsThe study concluded that more research on siloxanes is "urgently needed," given how many hair products use them.

Now his phone keeps up with him — the Z Fold5 has enough battery to last a full day, including video calls. Louis Angel Scott, the cofounder and COO of Cutbox, a UK-based barber chain that offers convenient and affordable cuts, understands this clearly. Angel Scott and his cofounder initially founded Cutbox out of frustration with long wait times associated with the barbering industry. Samsung created products like the Galaxy Z Fold5 for technology-leaning entrepreneurs like Angel Scott. "The back-end experience is so seamless to access on the Z Fold5 due to the bigger screen," Angel Scott said.

The "AI for business" diploma offers training in data and AI for client leaders, practitioners, and WPP executives, according to WPP's website. The team work under AI expert Daniel Hulme who was appointed chief AI officer at WPP two years ago. While lawmakers and philosophers alike still debate whether content produced by generative AI models amounts to anything like human creativity, advertisers have already begun using the technology in their promotional campaigns. Unilever, which owns more than 400 brands including Dove soap and Ben & Jerry's ice cream, has its own generative AI technology that can write product descriptions for retailers' websites and digital commerce sites, it said. The company's TRESemmé haircare brand has used its AI content generator for written content and its automation tool for visual content on Amazon.co.uk (AMZN.O).

New York CNN —How consumers are feeling about the health of the US economy, and of their own wallets, could be showing up in the way we’re buying one particular indulgence — perfume. During periods of economic uncertainty, consumer behavior experts say shoppers tend to alter their purchase patterns, especially for discretionary goods. They either switch to cheaper alternatives, cut back on how often they buy a product, or stop buying some products completely. Perfume is no exception to these trends, as cheaper variants are seeing sales shoot through the roof. And that’s just one way in which consumers are pulling back, despite more traditional economic indicators telling a much rosier story.

Piper Sandler on Tuesday released the results of its semi-annual survey on Gen-Z teenagers, with bullish implications for a slate of Club holdings. For its latest report, Piper Sandler surveyed 5,690 U.S. teens between Feb. 13 and March 21, with an average age of 16.2 years across 47 states. Haircare saw a marginal 1% year-over-year gain, but that's of little concern to us given Estee Lauder's minimal exposure to the haircare market, a dynamic highlighted by Piper Sandler. Internet On the ecommerce front, 57% of survey respondents cited Club name Amazon (AMZ) as their favorite online retailer. As Piper Sandler noted, these are encouraging results that highlight Meta's ongoing product-improvement initiatives.
