More than 4,000 people have descended here for the Future Proof conference , a vast social gathering designed to give younger registered investment advisors and other investment professionals access to what they want. What they want, apparently, is an intense desire to network with other RIAs and investment professionals and find ways to grow their business. Reimagining the financial conference Future Proof is the brainchild of Barry Ritholtz, co-founder, chairman, and chief investment officer of Ritholtz Wealth Management, and CEO Josh Brown. This is the third year for the conference, but Ritholtz and company have been doing conferences for 15 years. Ritholtz describes it as an ongoing project to reinvent the financial conference concept, which he says is "moribund."

Today's high interest rate environment has led to rising borrowing costs for consumers, but there is a silver lining for savers: Their idle cash can generate plenty of income – if they can find the right savings products. The Federal Reserve's key interest rate is sitting at a target range of 5.25% to 5.5%, its highest level in more than 22 years . The firm found that about six out of 10 middle-income Americans are leaving their money in lower-yielding accounts, even as interest rates have risen. "Or, there's a perception that the switching costs, or the friction, related to making a change is more work than the benefit of getting higher rates." Meanwhile, LendingClub offers a 1-year CD at a 4.4% APY, while its high-yield savings account offers a 5% APY.

The next round of filings for spot ether ETFs with the SEC is due today, part of the ongoing regulatory process required before spot ether ETFs can be launched. One thing's for sure: the launch of spot bitcoin ETFs this year has been a success. That's still true for this year, but two of the top 10 ETF inflows year to date have been into spot bitcoin ETFs: iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) at number four, and Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust (FBTC) at number eight. Would 50% of the inflows of the spot bitcoin ETF be a win? We'll talk about this with Matt Hougan from Bitwise Asset Management, one of the applicants for a spot ether ETF.

New Street Research is raising the alarm on shares of Nvidia after the chip giant's June rally. Shares of Nvidia have surged 159% so far this year, building on an AI-fueled rally that kicked off in late 2022 when ChatGPT debuted. Any negative opinion on Nvidia is pretty much unheard of these days on Wall Street. There was only one other downgrade of Nvidia from buy to hold this year, by Germany's DZ Bank in May. Given this contrarian outlook, New Street set a $135 price target on Nvidia, assuming a 35 times multiple, in line with its 2019 and early 2020 multiple.

Market talk : The S & P 500 and Nasdaq jumped to new intraday highs Wednesday, extending the gains from the prior session's late-day rally. In fact, the S & P 500 broke above 5,300 for the first time ever. The one thing we're staying guarded about in this rally is how overbought the stock market has become. You have to go back to last December to find a time when the S & P 500 Short Range Oscillator was this overbought. Women’s watches have undergone something of a transformation in recent years, moving beyond an outdated “shrink it and pink it” design school of thought. It also comes in rose gold, diamond-dusted white gold, and in two seriously special High Jewelry iterations which feature stripes of coloured hardstones. There are various ETFs that hold recent IPOs, including the Renaissance Capital Greenwich Funds' Renaissance IPO ETF (IPO) . The 200-day moving average is the most popular long-term moving average and one of the best long-term trend indicators. The IPO ETF bounced from the line last fall and has been trading above it through the first two months of 2024. Seeing IPO stay above the upward sloping 200-day moving average is the best-case scenario. Two IPO Holdings Investors should be aware the IPO ETF isn't very liquid, meaning that its average daily volume isn't robust.
