Despite the wild ride from a performance and volatility perspective, over the last six months, BTC has continued to do one thing very well – adhere to the technicals. It never violated the breakout zone from October'23 and hit the target by early March. Each prior falling wedge pattern breakout was accompanied by its RSI moving to overbought territory. Two Bullish Patterns on One Chart The second and third bullish formations appear on this chart. To reiterate, these targets are attained simply by adding the height of each pattern to the breakout points.

What do the charts say after this sudden 20% drop in price? After making a new all-time high of around $318 in early March, Salesforce demonstrated choppy, sideways price action into mid-April. A gap lower in price pushed CRM below its 50-day moving average, which often serves as an early warning sign of an impending trend change. From mid-April until this week, Salesforce has again settled into a sideways price range, this time between $268 and $290. While CRM was in a somewhat precarious position leading into this week, the gap lower post-earnings represented a sudden revaluation for this former technology leader.

The only reason the Federal Reserve might be tempted to cut rates would be to help the U.S. cover interest payments for the national debt, according to fund manager Freddie Lait. The Fed is widely expected to keep its benchmark overnight borrowing rate in a range between 5.25%-5.5%. Traders are currently only pricing in about a 50% chance of a Fed rate cut taking place as early as September and expect just one quarter-percentage-point reduction by the end of the year, according to the CME FedWatch Tool. The reason they might cut is because the U.S. government can't afford [them not doing] it — and that's a much scarier reason to have to cut," he added. A spokesperson for the Federal Reserve declined to comment.

Hong Kong CNN —Hong Kong’s benchmark Hang Seng Index surged more than 7% in April as the best-performing major index in the world. The valuation of Hong Kong stocks has also become more “compelling” relative to the rest of the Asian region after the pullback last year, said Zhikai Chen, head of Asian equities at BNP Paribas Asset Management. He added that there is a shift in investors’ sentiments as Chinese economic data turned more positive. Innes said global investors are currently “underweight” in Chinese markets, including Hong Kong, because of geopolitical tensions and concerns surrounding potential fallout from the upcoming US elections. Stock exchange data showed that southbound investors (meaning investment from mainland China into Hong Kong) have bought nearly $20 billion of Hong Kong-listed stocks in March and the first three weeks of April on a net basis.

However, it continues to operate a solid payments business with nearly half a billion active users each month. Over a longer period, a breakout above $68 could target the low $100s as an extended target to the upside. If we were to dive into the business, we see a payments company that focuses on delivering growth and improving margins.
