ETF issuer GraniteShares filed Wednesday to increase the leverage on dozens of single stock ETFs, most notably the GraniteShares 1.5x Long NVDA Daily ETF (NVDL) . NVDL YTD mountain This leveraged Nvidia single-stock ETF is the top performing U.S. ETF of the year. Single-stock ETFs are structured to produce a leveraged return on a one-day basis, poisitively or inversely, depending how it's structured, and resetting every day. Single-stock ETFs were first approved in the U.S. in 2022, and the launches have been hit and miss so far. The tweak would bring the NVDL's leverage in line with the T-REX 2X Inverse Nvidia Daily Target ETF (NVDX) , which was introduced in October.

GraniteShares rolled out its first batch of single-stock ETFs in August 2022 with products tracking mainstay names Tesla, Apple and Coinbase. While its 1.25x Long Tsla Daily ETF (TSL) and 1.75x Long AAPL Daily ETF (AAPB) have logged considerable gains in 2023, the Coinbase rally has pushed its 1.5x Long COIN Daily ETF (CONL) up 123% year to date. Because single-stock products are leveraged, Rhind said that the products lend themselves more to short-term activity and exposures. GraniteShares 1.5x Long NVDA Daily ETF (NVDL) has emerged as the outperformer of the firm's lineup, up more than 349% this year. Nadig added that investors can expect to see more single-stock ETFs coming to the market, but it's up to investor interest and market trends to ultimately bolster activity.

The National Bureau of Statistics of China reports retail sales have been increasing since last November. "We're seeing the incremental rebound from the Chinese consumer," the firm's chief investment officer told " ETF Edge " this week. China's pandemic-battered economy is starting to see consumers open their wallets wider, according to KraneShares' Brendan Ahern. "Domestic travel [is] rebounding … but we've yet to see that from the international sector," the ETF provider's CEO said. Rhind told CNBC in a special interview later in the week that international travel from China could start to rebound this summer following a sluggish start.
Rosenbluth said that engagement for precious metal commodity ETFs spiked earlier in May compared with the month prior, according to VettaFi data. "The story is all about gold," Will Rhind, founder and CEO of GraniteShares, said Monday in the same segment. The ongoing banking crisis still looms, higher inflation and a declining dollar are also tail winds for the precious metal, he said. Flows into the SPDR Gold Shares have exceeded $1.14 billion the past month, according to FactSet. In an analysis about investors shunning Russian gold, Reuters examined lists of gold bars owned by eleven large funds. By late November, the proportion of Russian gold in the stockpiles of eight had fallen. SPDR Gold MiniShares, whose gold is stored by ICBC Standard, saw an almost 50% fall in the amount of Russian gold it holds. Russian gold bars refined before March 7 this year are still eligible to own and trade, it said. GRANITESHARESGraniteShares said it did not distinguish between different brands of good delivery gold including pre-war Russian gold, and that it had not asked its custodian, ICBC Standard, to reduce its holdings of Russian bullion.
