This week Taylor Swift sets a personal chart record with her album “The Tortured Poets Department” after fending off the latest challenger: the singer-songwriter Zach Bryan. 1, “Tortured Poets” is now the longest-running chart-topper of Swift’s career, exceeding the 11-week totals she had for “Fearless” (2008) and “1989” (2014). 1, and is just shy of Stevie Wonder’s 13 for “Songs in the Key of Life” in 1976 and 1977. In its most recent week out, “Tortured Poets” had the equivalent of 163,000 sales in the United States, including 95 million streams and 90,000 copies sold as a complete package, according to the tracking service Luminate. Since its release in April, the full 31-track album has logged three billion streams and had the equivalent of just under five million sales in the United States.

The pair recently attended the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, and it was pretty cute. They were spotted courtside over the weekend, enjoying the match and singing along to Whitney Houston’s hit single, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”Zendaya plays a tennis coach and former player involved in a love triangle in the forthcoming film “Challengers.”Poland’s Iga Świątek beat Maria Sakkari of Greece 6-4, 6-0 to win her second BNP Paribas Open title in three years and later posed for a photo with Zendaya that Świątek shared on social media. The “Spider-Man” stars have been linked for years, but have been pretty private about their relationship. Zendaya recently shared in an interview that Holland has “beautiful charisma.”

The beat is the confession, which recognizes, changes, and conquers time.” Some remixes remind me of the 1980s and ’90s, when music forged in Black queer spaces began reaching the mainstream. Remixes were one way of preserving Black queer aesthetics amid economic incentives to make club music more commercial.

The actress and daytime TV host was at the 92nd Street Y in New York City on Monday for a conversation with singer Reneé Rapp when a man yelled out Barrymore’s name, appearing to startle her. As the man approached the stage, security headed towards him as Rapp put her arm around Barrymore and escorted her backstage, as seen in video widely shared on social media. “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” suffers from thin dialogue and predictability — dull trappings intrinsic to biopics. Naomi Ackie as Whitney Houston in "I Wanna Dance with Somebody." To wit: Whitney Houston was a Black woman — ate Black, slept Black, lived Black, cried Black, walked Black and died Black. The most peculiar aspect of this criticism is the fact that nearly all American music is Black music. While Houston has mostly elided criticism that she wasn’t Black enough or didn’t make Black music, the spirit of this indictment lives on today.
