Cops found the boy driving on Saturday evening, and gave chase at speeds of up to 20 miles per hour. CNN —University of Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh was suspended for the three remaining games of the 2023 regular season after the Big Ten Conference announced on Friday the Wolverines football program was found to have conducted “an impermissible, in-person scouting operation over multiple years,” thus violating the Big Ten sportsmanship policy. “I want to thank coach Harbaugh,” Moore told the Fox broadcast with tears streaming down his face. The Big Ten Conference said Jim Harbaugh's suspension from coaching on game days was "not a sanction" of the coach. “This is not a sanction of Coach Harbaugh,” it read. “You may have removed him from our sidelines today, but Jim Harbaugh is our head football coach.

The actor Hill Harper is making moves toward a US Senate campaign launch in Michigan, per Politico. According to Politico, Harper, who lives in Detroit, is putting the final touches on a campaign launch that is still likely a few weeks away. "I think Hill getting in the race would be a really good thing for Michigan Democrats," Washtenaw County Sheriff Jerry Clayton told Politico. Most major Democratic officials in the state passed on the race earlier this year, but the Democratic primary is not hurting for candidates. Besides Slotkin, the other announced Democratic candidates include former state Rep. Leslie Love, businessman Nasser Beydoun, Michigan State Board of Education president Pamela Pugh, and attorney Zack Burns.

The preventive approach to domestic terrorism goes back even further than the 1990s and it begins with the basic police work and surveillance of the joint terrorism task forces. In fact, there is no section of the U.S. Criminal Code that criminalizes domestic terrorism as such. The absence of clear law around domestic terrorism, and the imperatives of prevention, mean that investigators and prosecutors who work domestic terrorism cases must focus on more common charges: weapons violations, illegal drug possession, burglary, aiding and abetting and so forth. But this was not enough to overrule the fear of domestic terrorism that was gripping the nation and that hung in the courtroom. It reflected the legal paradoxes of the case and domestic terrorism law in general or, maybe more accurately, the absence of it.

CNN —The Big Ten Conference has fined Michigan State University $100,000 and suspended Spartans cornerback Khary “KJ” Crump for the first eight games of next season following the post-football game fight against rival Michigan in the players’ tunnel at Michigan Stadium on October 29. Michigan State finished its regular season 5-7. At the time, Michigan football Head Coach Jim Harbaugh said two of his players were “assaulted,” and one of them may have a broken nose. Security and police broke up a scuffle between players from Michigan and Michigan State after a game on Oct. 29. Seven Michigan State football players were criminally charged Wednesday in connection with an Oct. 29 altercation with Michigan players in the tunnel of Michigan Stadium following the Wolverines’ 29-7 victory. The allegations include a felony charge of assault against Khary Crump, according to a news release from the Washtenaw County prosecuting attorney.
