MOSCOW (Reuters) - U.S. investor Michael Calvey pleaded guilty to embezzling 2.5 billion roubles ($27.7 million), Interfax reported on Thursday, citing a court of cassation. Calvey, the founder of Russia-focused private equity group Baring Vostok, was detained along with other executives in early 2019 on charges of embezzlement linked to mid-sized lender Vostochny. In 2021, he was given a five and a half year suspended sentence. Lawyers for Calvey could not be immediately reached for comment. MOSCOW, Dec 1 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree putting St Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport under the temporary management of a Russian company, wresting control from investors from Germany, Qatar and other Gulf states. The airport's management company has 14 co-owners. The rights of foreign shareholders will pass to two different Russian entities. Russian shareholders will retain their rights. The decree stated that airport's foreign shareholders would be able to restore their rights to stakes in the new company if they apply and conclude corporate agreements that comply with Russian laws on foreign investment.

June 13 (Reuters) - Russia's Defence Ministry released video footage on Tuesday of what it said were German-made Leopard tanks and U.S.-made Bradley Fighting Vehicles captured by Russian forces in a fierce battle with Ukrainian troops. Reuters was able to confirm that the vehicles seen in the video were Leopard tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles, but was not able to independently verify the location or date of the footage. The Defence Ministry said the armoured vehicles and tanks were captured on the Zaporizhzhia front in southern Ukraine, one of the areas where Ukrainian forces have been trying to counter-attack. Two Leopard tanks were shown in the footage, which was released on the ministry's official channel on the Telegram messaging application, along with two damaged Bradley Fighting Vehicles. Unconfirmed reports from Russian military bloggers suggest Russian forces may have recaptured some territory which they ceded in recent days.

Având în vedere condițiile de detenție așa cum sunt descrise de solicitant, acesta a fost supus unor rele tratamente, fiind încălcat articolul 3 din Convenție? Guvernul Rusiei a luat toate măsurile rezonabile pentru a înlătura impedimentele și a asigura dreptul la viață a solicitantului? El a fost tratat în Germania și a fost arestat pe 17 ianuarie 2021 la întoarcerea în Rusia”, se arată în document.
