CNN —It’s been almost 15 years since there has been any major change to the popular Toyota 4Runner SUV, a fan favorite among off-road enthusiasts. The new 2025 Toyota 4Runner, like the Tacoma, will be available with Toyota’s iForce Max hybrid system, adding another popular model to Toyota’s broadening hybrid line-up. It comes as more consumers, who may be wary of buying fully electric vehicles, are increasingly turning to hybrids. More than 600,000 Toyota pickup trucks and SUVs in the United States were voluntarily recalled over the past week because of different issues that could increase the risk of crashes, the vehicle manufacturer said. The first announcement, on Feb. 21, stated that about 280,000 vehicles, including certain Toyota Tundra, Tundra Hybrid and Lexus LX600 vehicles from the model years 2022-2024 and Sequoia Hybrid vehicles issued from 2023-2024, were recalled because “certain parts of the transmission may not immediately disengage when the vehicle is shifted to the neutral position,” Toyota said in a statement. The defect “can allow some engine power to continue to be transferred to the wheels and can allow the vehicle to inadvertently creep forward at a low speed when it is on a flat surface and no brakes are applied, leading to an increased risk of a crash,” Toyota said. A defect information report posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administrations website said that affected vehicles could “inadvertently creep forward at a low speed (up to approximately 4 m.p.h.

A still image taken from a video released by the Israeli government said to be of a tunnel below Al-Shifa Hospital complex in Gaza. The military released two videos, one of which appeared to have been filmed by a drone and shows parts of a metal spiral staircase. The Israeli military also released videos later Sunday that it said showed two hostages being taken inside the hospital on Oct. 7, when Hamas launched a cross-border attack from Gaza. They provide further evidence, Israeli officials said, that Hamas has used the hospital area for military operations. It was the same shaft that appeared in the videos released on Sunday.

Here is a closer look at Israel’s raid on the Shifa Hospital. Israel has long claimed that Hamas uses hospitals, schools, mosques and residential neighborhoods as human shields. In particular, it says Hamas has hidden command centers and bunkers underneath the sprawling grounds of Shifa. The Israeli military has released videos showing AK47s, ammunition and other military equipment it said was found in the hospital’s MRI unit. A man upset about an unavailable flight Friday went on a carjacking spree and crashed into several vehicles in Utah while heading toward his planned destination, authorities said. John Joseph Thomas Green, 20, will be booked into jail in Summit County, Utah, based on multiple felony allegations that were not specified, according to Salt Lake City police. The carjacking spree began about 5 a.m. after airport police told city officers a man at a ticket counter was upset that he couldn't get a ticket for a same-day flight to Denver, the Salt Lake City department said in a statement. The suspect took an SUV by physical force from a motorist in the airport's passenger pickup area, Salt Lake City police said. While using on Interstate 80, the Durango hit as many as five cars in Summit County, east of Salt Lake City, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.
