I highly recommend reading the entire profile, which is a comprehensive look at a very powerful man. Dunn makes an unfavorable comparison between human societies and bee hives:“When everybody does what they do best for the hive, it prospers,” he said. If you’re a scout, be a scout.” Dunn then contrasted the cooperation of the hive with the inexorable tumult of modern politics. But when read with Dunn in mind — a straightforward Christian nationalist whose allies in Texas politics are leading the charge to ban books, suppress the rights of L.G.B.T.Q.

Netflix has acquired Richard Linklater's “Hit Man,” starring Glen Powell, for $20 million. “Hit Man,” which Linklater and Powell co-wrote, stars the “Top Gun: Maverick” actor as a New Orleans psychology professor who also works undercover posing as a hit man for the police in sting operations to catch would-be murders. Whole Foods co-founder John Mackey thinks business is "judged and attacked" by society. Mackey spoke at a conference, in one of his first appearances since stepping down as Whole Foods CEO. "I always felt that business is misunderstood by society," Mackey said during the presentation, according to industry publication Baking Business. "Entrepreneurs are the true heroes in a free-enterprise economy, driving progress in business, society, and the world," he wrote. Now, he plans to start a chain of health restaurants in Southern California called Love.Life!, according to Baking Business.

Gregg Costa, a prosecutor-turned-federal judge who announced that he would return to private practice earlier this year, is joining Gibson Dunn, a person familiar with the matter told Insider. Costa clerked for the conservative Supreme Court justice William Rehnquist and was appointed by President Barack Obama, first as a district court judge in Galveston, Texas and later as an appeals judge. Before becoming a judge, Costa was an associate attorney at the law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges and a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of Texas.
