The storm’s center is expected to move inland over south Texas by midday Tuesday, hurricane center said. A tropical storm warning is in effect for portions of South Texas south of Port O’Connor and a tropical storm watch has been issued from Port O’Connor northward to Sargent. If it becomes a tropical storm, it could be named Harold, depending on whether another area in the Atlantic Ocean closer to Africa develops into a tropical storm first. Texas - home to Tesla's headquarters and a new car factory complex - is the first state which will mandate Tesla's charging technology, giving a boost to CEO Elon Musk's hope of making it the national charging standard. He said the land spans nearly 4,200 acres in an industrial zone, more than double the size of Mexico City's international airport. Tesla's factory in Austin, Texas - one of three existing Tesla vehicle plants - sits on 2,500 acres, according to Tesla's website. Nava said Tesla will reveal what vehicles it will produce at the Nuevo Leon factory when it breaks ground, which it plans to do in three months. Tesla uses recycled water, and such companies typically use minimal liters of water per second, he added.

Jan 17 (Reuters) - Freeport LNG's long-shut liquefied natural gas (LNG) export plant in Texas started receiving pipeline natural gas over the long U.S. Martin Luther King Jr holiday weekend, according to Refinitiv data. Gas started flowing to Freeport on Jan. 14 and was on track to reach 69 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) on Tuesday, according to data from Refinitiv. Freeport has not yet filed a request with federal regulators to restart the plant, according to a source familiar with the company's filings. Whenever Freeport returns, U.S. gas demand will jump. The plant can turn about 2.1 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) of gas into LNG, which is about 2% of U.S. daily production.
