Ferrari is so determined to maintain the authenticity of its cars, then, that it’s crushing potential fakes into cubes. Potential tattle-tales can share tips on possible faux Ferrari goods on a web page Ferrari created just for the purpose. How to fake a carWhile creating fake merchandise can be a simple matter of placing an unlicensed Ferrari prancing horse logo on a product, producing a believable fake Ferrari car can be much more involved. “Generally, the Ferrari collector tends to have a considerable knowledge over the brand as a whole and its cars, especially the most valuable ones,” said the spokesperson. As an example of the fate that awaits any fake Ferrari automobiles the company can find, Ferrari published a photo of a red car squished into a crinkled metal cube.

“It was my weird femme fantasy of what my grown-up life was going to be.”“I wanted True Directions to look like the Barbie Dreamhouse,” she continued. True Direction's founder, Mary, insulates herself from reality in the artificial setting that she's built for traditional gender roles. “I just love the cult following that it’s had,” Friedberg said in the call with Babbit and Kamerman. Despite the film’s barriers, Babbit, Friedberg and Kamerman are all pleased with its longevity, particularly as they’ve seen it gain cachet with an entirely new generation this past decade. “We were just making our weirdo indie film of queer joy and female power in a vacuum.”

Dear Work It Out, I work in an office where the same floor is shared by multiple teams that don't work together, but work for the same parent company. There are a few people whose voices carry all the time, and occasionally a group of them will congregate in an open area not far from my desk for what seem like impromptu team meetings or snacks. Since I don't know most of them, it feels like asking them to quiet down would seem like scolding from an unrelated party, but it really disrupts my work. Still, it's important to remember that you are at work to work, and if your environment hinders your productivity, that's something you — and your company — should care about. I've been having a hard time taking client calls when your team talks openly in the office near my desk.

Lochridge worked as an independent contractor for OceanGate in 2015, then as an employee between 2016 and 2018, CNN has reported. He soon became tangled in litigation with OceanGate, claiming he was wrongfully terminated for raising concerns about the safety and testing of the Titan. “There’s no way on earth you could have paid me to dive the thing,” Lochridge continued. McCallum, a divemaster who has led expeditions to the Titanic, warned Rush in 2018 about the safety of the Titan submersible, telling the CEO he was putting himself and his clients in danger, CNN previously reported. Salvaged pieces of the Titan submersible from OceanGate Expeditions arrive Wednesday in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, via the Horizon Arctic ship.

An ex-OceanGate worker reportedly raised at least nine Titan safety concerns with CEO Stockton Rush. They included fears the carbon-fiber hull could come apart with repeated dives, per The New Yorker. Experts believe the vessel's carbon-fiber hull may have failed first when the submersible imploded and the five people on board, including Rush, died. He also said in a lawsuit that he reported in 2018 that the submersible's safety could be compromised by poor "quality control and safety" protocols that "paying passengers would not be aware" of. Rush had defended the safety of the submersible and repeatedly criticized what he saw as overly safety regulations blocking innovation.

While you might think this behavior is helpful and responsible, it's likely your co-workers and even your boss don't agree. In fact, they probably think of you as a "workplace vigilante," a title that might not help your reputation in the office. In 2017 she co-authored a paper entitled "Vigilantes at Work: Examining the Frequency of Dark Knight Employees." Co-workers see you as a nuisance and management sees you as a tattle tale who creates more work for them. "Eventually you get to figure out who the 'Dwight' is and kind of discount their claims."

I just graduated from a Christian college on Wall Street, and it's on the verge of going under. The King's College is a tiny, private liberal arts school located in New York City's Financial District. And as an Asian woman who grew up in white, conservative Christian spaces, I didn't feel out of place in a student body that was predominantly white. 'Don't just go to college, come to King's'So how does a small, Christian school end up in the heart of the country's largest city? The King's CollegeThere are two kinds of King's students: those who just go to King's and those who are "King's people."
But there's a glaring catch to my support for pay transparency: I haven't actually practiced it in my own life. To find out why, I decided to commemorate the dawning age of salary transparency by telling pretty much everyone in my life what I earn. Norway responded to pay transparency with yet another level of transparency, and that brought down the level of snooping.. Thanks to its nationwide experiment, Norway has been fertile ground for scholars trying to measure the consequences of extreme pay transparency. But I do believe that as more states implement pay-disclosure laws — and as Gen Z increasingly comes to dominate the workforce — salary transparency is going to become the new norm.
"My dad says I'm taking the joy out of a restaurant," Frischling said. "If this industry doesn't keep up, we're not going to have so many restaurants," Frischling told Insider. Frischling is part of a wave of restaurant operators and high-profile chains investing millions in the industry's future. Over the years, Chipotle, Inspire Brands, and Restaurant Brands International — the owner of Burger King and Popeyes — have invested in autonomous-delivery vehicles, ghost kitchens, and digital-ordering software.
