CNN —Ollie Watkins’ brilliant last-gasp winner earned England a 2-1 win over the Netherlands and a place in Sunday’s Euro 2024 final. Awaiting England in Sunday’s final is the formidable foe of Spain, which has been unequivocally the best team of Euro 2024 so far. After only seven minutes, Simons – named after Barcelona great Xavi Hernández – dispossessed Declan Rice in midfield and stormed towards the England penalty area, before unleashing an unstoppable shot past Jordan Pickford and into the top corner. Foden, who was having by far his best game of the tournament, then hit the woodwork himself as the post denied the Manchester City forward a stunning curled effort. England has known little more than disappointment and heartbreak since winning the World Cup in 1966, Southgate more than most.

LONDON, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Australian soap opera "Neighbours" made a comeback on Monday in a highly publicised reboot, nearly 14 months after the show wrapped up last year in an emotional finale after running for nearly four decades. Following an outcry from fans, streaming giant Amazon announced in November it would revive the drama, airing it in Britain and the United States on its ad-supported service Amazon Freevee. "The show is still ‘Neighbours’ and it will continue to be ‘Neighbours’, it’s just ‘Neighbours’ with a nice polish," original cast actor Stefan Dennis, who plays the villainous, six-times married businessman Paul Robinson, told Reuters. There is a "bit more thrown at it... but it basically is still the same formula, which is great." Last year's finale saw old stars, including Minogue, return to Ramsay Street, the cul-de-sac where the show is set.

Anunțul vine după declarațiile făcute de comisarul european pentru piaţa internă, Thierry Breton, potrivit cărora Uniunea Europeană nu a reînnoit contractul pentru furnizarea vaccinurilor împotriva COVID-19 cu AstraZeneca după luna iunie. Termenul ''reînnoire'' a contractului ''se pretează confuziei şi ar trebui să-l evităm'', a spus purtătorul de cuvânt principal al Comisiei Europene, Eric Mamer. El a precizat că acordul cu AstraZeneca a fost semnat ''pe baza distribuirii dozelor prevăzute'', aşadar contractul nu se încheie atât timp cât nu sunt livrate toate dozele cuprinse în document, scrie Agerpres. Ambii purtători de cuvânt l-au corectat astfel pe comisarul Breton, care duminică a spus că contractul cu AstraZeneca se încheie în luna iunie şi ''nu am reînnoit comanda''.

Aflat în vizită la Moscova, el a confirmat că țara sa va achizționa vaccinul Sputnik V în trei tranșe. Ungaria este prima țară din Uniunea Europeană care cumpără vaccinuri anti-Covid în afara schemei gestionate de Comisia Europeană. Prin urmare, Ungaria a autorizat săptămâna aceasta vaccinurile Sputnik V şi Astrazeneca/Oxford, cel de-al doilea fiind examinat în prezent de EMA, care până sfârşitul lunii i-ar putea acorda autorizaţia de comercializare condiţionată.
