Security cameras on a Tesla helped the police connect a man with a fire that gutted a Black church. Authorities say Dushko Vulchev, 44, was filmed removing a wheel from a Tesla near the church in Massachusetts. Anderson cited video footage from other security cameras in the area that he said showed Vulchev near or at the scene of the other crimes. While Tesla security cameras may have helped the police in this case, some are concerned that they pose a privacy risk. In March, Consumer Reports said Tesla's cameras inside its cars, which transmit video footage of passengers, could allow outside parties to gain data access for malicious purposes.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Representative Richard Neal, the top Democrat for tax policy in the House, offered only partial support on Thursday for President Joe Biden’s plan to finance his $2 trillion infrastructure plan by raising taxes on corporations. FILE PHOTO: Congressman Richard Neal (D-MA) speaks at the Senate Finance Committee hearing at the US Capitol in Washington, DC, U.S. February 25, 2021. Biden’s plan would raise the U.S. corporate income tax rate to 28% from 21% and make it harder for companies to use offshore tax shelters and other means to reduce their tax burdens. It already faces stiff opposition from Republicans and some resistance among Biden’s fellow Democrats, who narrowly control both the House and Senate. House Democrats say they hope to pass Biden’s infrastructure package by July 4.

University of Florida gymnast Leah Clapper is one of thousands of NCAA student-athletes making plans to monetize their NIL this August. The ambiguity of the term, which classifies college athletes as more than students but less than professionals, has helped universities avoid paying workers' compensation claims to injured athletes or salaries to healthy ones, according to Byers. Paying college athletes "would distract in a very significant way from pursuing what they really need to pursue — an education." After all, under the NCAA's new rules, student-athletes still won't be paid. Tiffany Kelly, a former college athlete and ESPN data scientist, is the founder of Curastory, which helps student-athletes monetize their NIL through custom video-making.
