The video, however, can be traced back to a TikTok post on Aug. 15 (here), predating the Burning Man festival. The posts circulated as thousands of revelers attending the Burning Man festival on Sept. 2 were left stranded amid heavy downpours that turned the Black Rock Desert campsite into a sea of sticky mud, Reuters reported (here). Environmental groups are suing the FAA over SpaceX's giant rocket launch in April. Debris from the Starship explosion was hurled thousands of feet from the launch pad, officials said. SpaceX's Starship rocket exploded over the Gulf of Mexico on April 20 after soaring 24 miles (39 kilometers) into the sky. The launch pad is on a remote site on the southernmost tip of Texas, just below South Padre Island, and about 20 miles from Brownsville. It was the first launch of a full-size Starship, with the sci-fi-looking spacecraft on top the huge booster rocket.

In the test mission, SpaceX’s Starship launched toward space atop a Super Heavy rocket booster. That could be the determining factor in how long it takes the company to get a new Starship on the launch pad. Images captured during the test flight show that the SpaceX launch pad also exploded, with concrete chunks from it flying in multiple directions leaving behind a giant crater underneath. That would translate to a one-square-mile debris field, with debris emanating about three-quarters of a mile away from the site, he said, referencing SpaceX environmental site assessment documents that are public record. Health concernsThe impacts of particulate emissions from the SpaceX launch won't be understood until samples are evaluated and the debris field measured comprehensively. Margolis and Cortez both noted that roads had been damaged, with gates and cordons closed immediately following the SpaceX Starship test flight.

Starship was left grounded on its launchpad in South Texas on Monday morning because of a technical issue, delaying the vehicle’s historic first launch attempt. But the launch was called off due to what the SpaceX broadcast said was a pressurization issue. “A pressurant valve appears to be frozen, so unless it starts operating soon, no launch today,” SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeted. “If we get far enough away from launch pad before something goes wrong, then I think I would consider that to be a success,” Musk said during a Twitter “Spaces” event on Sunday.

Personal-finance company Kiplinger laid out the cities in the US with the lowest cost of living. Personal-finance company Kiplinger identified America's cheapest cities by calculating the living expenses — including prices for housing, groceries, transportation, healthcare, and miscellaneous goods and services — of 267 urban areas in the US that have a population of at least 50,000. According to their methodology, America's cheapest city is Harlingen, Texas, a small city of less than 72,000 people at the southern tip of Texas near the Mexican border. Realtors in south Texas are tailoring house listings to SpaceX workers, but residents aren't happy. "Perfect for SpaceX workers" and "just minutes away from SpaceX" are written on some listings. Brownsville locals told Insider they are upset that realtors are luring SpaceX staff to the area. One property for rent is described as "perfect for SpaceX workers," while others are considered "just minutes away from SpaceX" and "conveniently located near SpaceX and Boca Chica beach."
