The Eagles are healthier at receiver, have a terrific ground game and they’re improving on defense. AdvertisementNguyen: Getting two new coordinators takes some getting used to, but the Eagles look more comfortable both offensively and defensively. Defensively, Vic Fangio’s system is a hard one to learn but the Eagles now look like they’re playing a lot faster. Since the third week of the season, opponents are averaging just 12.8 points per game against Fangio’s defense. Nguyen: Before this week, the Titans were playing like an elite defense but their offense was letting them down.

But what was most impressive about this game was the Packers’ defense. Love has to be better and the offense will have better days, but the Packers defense was lights out. The Lions are the best team in the NFC at the moment, maybe even the best team overall. But the Lions looked like the best team in the division heading into the season, and they looked like the best team in the division on Sunday. He is on a pace to rush for 1,864 yards — his best season by far.

(The fantasy scoring numbers here are provided by TruMedia, and the average draft position statistics were compiled by Fantasy Pros.) Aaron Jones (15.7 fantasy ppg) has been a good pick but left early Sunday with a hip injury. The only bright spot for Las Vegas is rookie tight end Brock Bowers, who is 76th in fantasy scoring (13.3). Brian Thomas Jr. is 35th in fantasy scoring (16.2 ppg), which is second-best among rookie wide receivers behind only Malik Nabers.

The esteemed group: The Bills, Buccaneers, Chargers, Chiefs, Saints, Seahawks, Steelers, Texans and Vikings. Can Darnold continue his resurgence against a Texans defense that ranks third-stingiest in yards allowed and second in sacks through two games? Saints’ legitimacyIt seemed premature to get excited about the Saints’ 47-10 trouncing of the Panthers in Week 1, given Carolina’s issue. And is a Saints defense that has held opponents to just 14.5 points per game equally as legit? Can Dalton help stop the bleeding, or is this team as bad as it seems regardless of who starts at quarterback?

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to contracts with former New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and former New York Jets defensive end Bryce Huff, two people familiar with the deals told The Associated Press on Monday. The Giants used the tag last season and eventually worked out a one-year, $10.1 million contract before the start of training camp. A franchise tag this year would have cost the team $12.2 million if Barkley accepted the offer. The 25-year old Huff spent the last four seasons with the New York Jets. Huff thanked the Jets and their fans in a social media post but did not acknowledge his deal with the Eagles.

CNN —New York Giants rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito will make his first career start in the NFL on Sunday, but there seems to be little chance of the success going to his head. DeVito, a New Jersey native, called the decision to continue living with his parents a “no-brainer.”“Everything that I need is there at the house,” the 25-year-old told ESPN. “The decision was made since this level of football is stressful for a rookie, especially from the quarterback position. “Your mom helping with your wash, making sure you’re up on time, no distractions, unbelievable.”DeVito will start his first game for the Giants on Sunday. “Gets to be starting quarterback for the New York Football Giants.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Star running back Saquon Barkley was listed as questionable for the New York Giants game against the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday. Giants coach Brian Daboll on Friday ruled out left tackle Andrew Thomas, rookie center John Michael Schmitz and left guard Shane Lemieux. Thomas (left hamstring) has not played since the season opener against Dallas. Neither Thomas, Schmitz nor Lemieux practiced this week. SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown in his 12th straight game, Brock Purdy threw two TD passes and the San Francisco 49ers won their 13th straight regular season game, 30-12 over the New York Giants on Thursday night. The defense did the rest against the short-handed Giants (1-2), who fell behind by double digits at the half for the third time in three games this season. That matched Jerry Rice's franchise record with 12 straight games in the regular season or playoffs with a TD and is three shy of the NFL mark. They rallied to beat the Cardinals with a strong second half. Davidson (elbow) left in the second half.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley says he sustained a high ankle sprain late in the fourth quarter in the comeback win over the Arizona Cardinals. Amazon, which broadcasts the Thursday night games, reported Barkley described his injury as a high ankle sprain. High ankle sprains usually have a longer recovery period than injuries to the lower part of the ankle. The Giants' next game will be on Oct. 2, a Monday night game at MetLife Stadium against the Seattle Seahawks. Barkley, the NFL Offensive rookie of the year in 2018, had a high ankle sprain in 2019 and missed three games.
