CNN —In the latest round in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s ongoing litigation over the former couple’s French winery Château Miravel, the two are fighting over Jolie’s request for Pitt to turn over third-party communications related to a 2016 plane incident. “Jolie, however, wants them anyway as part of her efforts to turn this business dispute into a re-litigation of the former couple’s divorce case,” the document continues. Pitt and Jolie have been locked in a fraught web of legal proceedings since 2016. Pitt became the center of a probe related to the incident but was never arrested or charged, according to an FBI statement at the time. Pitt’s lawsuit alleged that he and Jolie had agreed when they purchased the winery that neither would sell without the other’s consent.

The ongoing legal proceedings and “Pitt’s unyielding attempts to control and punish Jolie continue to take a huge emotional and financial toll on her and their family,” the filing reads. Legal proceedings as they pertain to the Miraval dispute also remain ongoing. The former couple purchased the country estate and winery in the south of France in 2008.

SKIP THE SAD PLAID Striking features such as colorful buttons distinguish a new breed of overshirt from all the blah flannel clones. Illustration: Paul TullerTHE ACTOR Kunal Nayyar enjoys dressing up when he flies, “like how they used to do in the olden days.” His favorite jet-setting item? Not a natty blazer a la 1950s travelers, but an overshirt with a twist. Nayyar, of “The Big Bang Theory” fame, swears by cozy cashmere designs with buttons made of gemstones such as pink rose quartz or purple amethyst. These precious fasteners add distinctive hits of color, said the 42-year-old.

LOS ANGELES — Angelina Jolie accused former husband Brad Pitt of choking one of their children during a volatile trans-Atlantic flight in 2016, according to a complaint she filed Tuesday. The filing, seen by NBC News, was a cross-complaint Jolie aimed at Pitt. Jolie maintained in the complaint, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, that she was never under restrictions about whom she could sell the property to. “At one point, he poured beer on Jolie; at another, he poured beer and red wine on the children. “Brad will continue to respond in court as he has consistently done.”Diana Dasrath reported from Los Angeles and David K. On May 29, 1979, Mary Jo Salter, then a young editor at the Atlantic, wrote her first fan letter. The recipient was Amy Clampitt, a 58-year-old poet whose work had recently begun to appear in that publication and various other magazines. Ms. Salter praised Clampitt’s poems, which “unfailingly send me to the dictionary at least once, and although I don’t consider this a prerequisite exactly, it does speak for your commitment to precision. You don’t write like other people.”Indeed, Clampitt was one of a kind, her work stubbornly and satisfyingly unclassifiable. She managed to be both, her poems depicting the various locations she visited or called home, but also chronicling escape, immigration, disorientation and dispossession.
