"(The documents) make this affirmation that is obviously out of touch with any minimum sense of reality," Aragones told reporters, adding that the documents provided no explanation for such suspicions. BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Tighter water restrictions for drought-stricken northeast Spain went into effect Wednesday, when authorities in Catalonia said that Barcelona may need to have fresh water shipped in by boat in the coming months. Catalonia is suffering its worst drought on record with reservoirs that provide water for about 6 million people, including Spain’s second-biggest city Barcelona, filled to just 18% of their capacity. Barcelona has already been relying on Europe’s largest desalination plant for drinking water, and a sewage treatment and purification plant to make up for the drop in water from wells and rivers. DE PERE, Wis. (AP) — John Gordon, an artist who as a young art student helped design the Green Bay Packers' distinctive “G” team logo, has died at age 83. Gordon died Saturday, said Matt Cotter, the owner of Cotter Funeral & Cremation Care in De Pere, Wisconsin. Within 24 hours, Gordon’s sketched design was approved and the Packers’ original logo was born. The original “G” as designed by Gordon was shaped like a football, but it has been modified over the years to the current oval “G." Spain's Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has favoured dialogue with Catalonia to rebuild relations after a chaotic unilateral bid for independence in 2017 plunged Spain into its worst political crisis in years. It remains, however, staunchly opposed to independence and has hitherto ruled out a legal referendum. A similar proposal by Catalonia in 2012 was firmly rejected by the then conservative government in Madrid. The wealthy northeastern region held a referendum five years later despite a ban by the courts, and issued a short-lived unilateral independence declaration. Catalan government head Pere Aragones told the regional parliament that for another referendum, Catalonia needed Madrid's buy-in.

„Cămara Fest”, un târg al producătorilor autohtoni, este organizat și în acest weekend în parcul „Alunelul” din sectorul Buiucani al mun. Vizitatorii vor avea ocazia să cumpere miere de albini, fructe proaspete sau uscate, legume, miere de albini, cașcavaluri și brânzeturi, flori, salamuri și afumături, vin și alte produse autohtone naturale, de la producători din toată țara. „Chiar dacă vremea de afară ne dă bătăi de cap, rugămintea mea este să fiți solidari și astăzi și mâine cu producătorii autohtoni. Am adunat 70 de producători, veniți din toate colțurile R. Moldova”, a precizat organizatoarea târgului, Diana Crudu. Doina din Strășeni a venit la târg cu țuică de prune.
