Customers have come to expect when they order something online, it arrives in two days or less. Many logistics companies have warned about shipping delays due to extreme weather. Freight solutions company Breakthrough, which focuses on sustainable transportation, conducted a survey of 500 shippers and carriers this year that revealed extreme weather was cited as the top transportation challenge. And rather than rely on large warehouses, it uses its stores as hubs, which helps it change delivery fulfillment quickly. In addition to closing warehouses in cases of extreme weather, Amazon is using algorithms to plan delivery worker routes.

The murder complaint, filed Tuesday in the Dhaka Metropolitan Court, is the first legal case to be filed against Hasina following her deadly crackdown on huge protests against government employment quotas, that erupted across Bangladesh last month. The murder case also names Hasina’s former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan, the general secretary of her party, and four former top police officers. In her first public remarks since leaving Bangladesh, Hasina on Tuesday called for an investigation into the “heinous killings and acts of sabotage” during the protests. A woman sued Tesla for $2 million after she was struck by a car driven by a worker at a dealership. Rakshinda Parvez was waiting while her family test-drove a Tesla, according to the lawsuit. The lawsuit claimed she suffered multiple injuries, but Tesla disputed her account of the incident. She walked behind a Tesla driven by an employee that had stopped at the parking lot exit, an amended complaint filed in November stated. The car then reversed "suddenly and without warning," resulting in concussion as well as neurological, disc, and other orthopedic injuries to Parvez, the lawsuit alleged.
