Both are owned by Herschend Family Entertainment, though Silver Dollar City opened first in 1960. I've visited theme parks all over the world and this now ranks as one of my favorites. There are also unique attractions at Silver Dollar City that I haven't experienced anywhere else — Grandfather's Mansion was one of my favorites. The food is fantastic and uniqueCarly CaramannaI'm a big foodie — especially at theme parks — and I was happy this park's eats lived up to the hype.

So when I stumbled on her corn-bread recipe, I knew I had to give it a go.

CNN —It’s already a vital American truth that Dolly Parton is a national treasure, and has been for decades. From there, Parton saw a challenge to become a rockstar in her own right, and after her husband suggested she do a rock album, she embarked on the journey, culminating with Friday’s release of her appropriately titled forty-ninth (!!) Cover of "Rockstar" by Dolly Parton. Butterfly Records/APThe second track is also an original song, “World on Fire,” which dutifully tries to ruffle some feathers (like a rockstar would) by commenting on the state of the world today. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Last year, Dolly Parton was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame — against her wishes. Now, almost exactly a year later, she's releasing her first rock ‘n’ roll album, appropriately titled “Rockstar," on Friday. Parton once thought she'd record a “Linda Ronstadt-type rock album,” but had felt she was getting too old. “I care about people, human suffering and all of that.”“World On Fire,” she says, was written after she thought the album was completed. For now, Parton says “Rockstar” is her first and last rock album.

"I'll just hopefully drop dead in the middle of a song on stage someday, hopefully one I've written." But, Parton said, a few things could convince her to stop working after 60-plus years in the music industry. "As long as I'm able to work, as long as my health is good, and my husband is good," she said. "I have new dreams every day … I've got lots of dreams," Parton said of her future aspirations, noting that she wants to have her own network television show, as well as her own makeup and wig lines. Part of what motivates Parton to keep working, she added, is wanting to see all of her professional goals through to the end.

The 77-year-old revealed the stellar line-up of collaborators on her website on Tuesday, sharing details about the album, which will feature nine original songs and 21 covers. "I'm so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album 'Rockstar," Parton said in a statement. Parton will perform her lead original track "World on Fire" at the annual ACM (Academy of Country Music) Awards, which she is co-hosting with fellow country singer Garth Brooks, on Thursday. In an interview with Reuters last month, she said the song was "about the times that we're living in".
Townsend's heirs sued Sheeran for copyright infringement in 2017, contending that "Thinking Out Loud" copied the "heart" of Gaye's song including its melody, harmony and rhythm. Testifying during the trial, Sheeran denied the copyright infringement claims, telling the jury, "I find it really insulting to devote my whole life to being a performer and a songwriter and have someone diminish it." The heirs said in a court filing that they received 22% of the writer's share of Gaye's song from Townsend. I am not and will never allow myself to be a piggy bank for anyone to shake," Sheeran said after the verdict. Sheeran won a trial in London last year in a separate copyright case over his hit "Shape of You."
As he had last week, the British singer-songwriter played guitar and sang from the witness stand to underscore his testimony, telling jurors his song "Thinking Out Loud" had actually been inspired by Irish musician Van Morrison. Sheeran said he and other performers frequently perform such "mash ups," and that he had on other occasions combined "Thinking Out Loud" with Van Morrison's "Crazy Love" and Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You." He ridiculed Frank's questions about how often Sheeran collaborates with others in writing songs, which he said was common practice. If Sheeran is found liable, there will be a second trial to determine the damages amount.
