Vasari, who is regarded as the first art historian, was born in the central region of Tuscany, where he served the Italian banking family and political dynasty the Medici, in Florence. These balloons listen to the Earth from a dozen miles up, but not in frequencies that the human ear can detect. "In the infrasound domain our planet is very rich," Bowman, a scientist at Sandia National Laboratories, told Insider.
